Only a fool would count K. Pavlik out. He's not old and he's only had two losses to two guys who proved to be legitimately dominant fighters (one being Hopkins, an ATG). And he went the distance in both fights.

The fact that Pavlik has moved out of his element and consciously decided to defeat his substance abuse problem should be counted as his biggest victory in the past few years. Even if he never fought again, that's something that no one can ever take away from him.

What? Are you kidding? With that huge overhand right, damn his left hook could be insane...

It would seem that ESB is their refuge.

Go back and watch some of what he does with it. A good double jab is under rated here, obviously.

Yea hes had an excellent jab and probably the best 1-2 out.. But damn I feel stupid for not knowing this... It could be crucial with what Garcia can do with that... Mexicans love hooks, so thats the guy to perfect it...

I didn't know it till I saw footage of him doing autographs. Seems to be overlooked by the announcing crews.

I wonder if he could be ambidextrous. He has always been a two handed fighter, with good power in both hands.

I thought Pavlik was equally right and left handed?

If he signs with his left I'd say he favors that. jsimps would know more if he ever logs on.

I heard at one point he can write as well with both hands as well as do other things equally well with both hands. Left may be his preference for writing though.

I have heard guys like that will pick a hand to do different things with. Like they might pick to throw a baseball left and write with their right hand as it is better to practice with one hand to develop the muscle memory in that hand for different disciplines.

It's called being realistic. And a good brawl against Andrade or Bika would be great.

Kelly still has name recognition so he may get a pass on that level after a tuneup or 2 to get the rust off and see how his training is paying off. Unless his mentality has changed he will try and bypass guys like that because the training is just as hard and the reward isn't great. Time will tell obviously.

I'm not saying he will fight them but they're the guys he can beat at 168. Above that level he will drown.

Froch and Abraham are good style matchups for him and I think he wins both of those. Kessler is on the down side and I can see Kelly winning that fight too. Kessler certainly did not dominate Froch but has a better style to deal with Kelly.
