Actually I feel like I have to back up Pacquiao in this. I'm happy for Cotto standing up for himself, and if he can't make 147 anymore I don't think he should even try it. But I'm pretty sure I've heard him say he can fight both at ww and jrmw, and that he could meet Pacquiao at welterweight. Maybe he changed his mind and that's fine, but I was under the impression that he was making the 154lbs limit very comfortably and that going down to 147lbs in the future would not be a problem. I think 150 pound catch weight would be fair, but if the fighters can"t agree on it we could just move on.

I have a question, why does pac have to move up for cotto? Cotto is the one who can avenge the loss and have the big money fight, so why should it be at 154? I dont like catchweight but 150 seems the fairest option here.

If it's a title fight for Cotto's belt, 154 is all it should be.. If Cotto feels comfortable fighting at 150 with no title on the line, whatever, although they said Pac won't go above 147. Cotto shouldn't go back to 147 if he plans on fighting at 154.. And I understand Pac not wanting to move above 147 if he wants to stay at WW and fight Floyd... Don't want any excuses about moving up and down in weight..

Which is why it shouldn't even be discussed that they fight.

    1. Pac and Arum are looking for Cotto
    2. Cotto already agreed to fight in Pac's comfort zone the first time. Now time for Pac to step up and fight in Cotto's comfort zone.
    3. If it's for Cotto's title, Pac can come in at whatever weight, Cotto can weigh in at 154 max.
    4. Pacquiao was awarded a Jr. MW title, why can't he defend or even fight at Jr. MW?
    5. People are tired of Pac's bull****.

I feel its mostly 5 for a lot of people, I prefer timmy at 147 to be honest a good solid fight vs a new guy rather than cotto again.

cotto defended his title at 153 against margarito if i remember correctly. cotto's camp even wanted a lower weight but margo's camp refused.
