Desperation time when he needs a KO to win against a guy back peddling to preserve his victory? When it suited Froch he stood his ground and stopped or backed up the Abraham advances. Since coming forward isn't his style he pays for it by getting peppered anyhow. I still believe Kelly beats AA rather easily, but I'm pretty sure we will never see this fight so we can disagree all day and never find out.. Kelly won't stick around as gate keeper if he goes to 168 and can't hang and AA has nothing to offer him at that weight. I expect AA will finish out his career in Germany trying to regain what he once had and never accomplishing that. 168 will be a tough division for Kelly but I can see at least a few significant fights for him there. We'll have to wait and see how he handles them.

Lots of guys are somewhat ambidextrous but its pretty rare is someone is as ambidextrous as Pavlik. I can bat left and right and actually my power is better batting left, but guys like Pavlik and Ricky Henderson are on a hole different level of ambidextrous. Sounds like your cousin is like that it helps with many sports.

Coming forward is part of Abraham style, he just does it in spurts. Pavlik is still young, if he gets beat by the top 168 lbers I don't see him retiring, he could resurrect his career by becoming the Gatti of the division, not elite but entertaining.

Again, time will tell. If he has the hunger anymore it is only because he feels he has something to prove and sticking around for entertainment value doesn't fit that. Paychecks fall of rapidly once you fall out of the top tier.

The only fight I remember Abraham coming forward was is the Raul Marquez fight and that was because Raul had NOTHING to stop him with.

The mans, Chin, Heavy hands, and heart is what got him to be a MW champ. Garcia is gonna put some speed on those combos, Head movement, and footwork!

Its gonna be a whole New Animal!

I do not know what other boxing fans watch, or where they get their info, but Kelly Pavlik has used his left hand exactly like he did in the video since he was 15 years old. And yes, he is predominantly left handed.

I thought I heard he could write equaly well both hands as well as other things like pool and darts? I think it was during one of his fights when they were talking about how ambidextrous he is.

Ok, maybe my source was wrong but he is still pretty good with his right hand where it matters in punching. Maybe he can't write with both hands and throw base balls with his right but he still has some of the best power in the sport with his right hand.

. His power is pretty equal in both hands, which is why his jab is very thudding and why Jack tried to emphasize him using it and setting up feints with it.
If his mind is clear... He'll be a middleweight champ again and a wrecking ball at SMW.

That phrase should never even be uttered in relation to Pavlik, ever again.

Hopefully he can make a big come back under Garcia. Getting out of Youngstown was the best thing that could have happened to Kelly and he should have done it years ago. I only hope that it's not too late.

I just heard in a fight that he could write with both hands I can't remember the fight right now, but he might not be quite as ambidextrous as I had imagined. I thought he could use either hand equally well for anything, sounds like thats not quite the case though, but his right hand will always be good enough for boxing and thats all that matters.
