Pac would be more confused than we've ever seen him. If he thought Marquez and Mosley were tricky . . .

At 147? I'd take Whitaker in a comfortable decision. Pacquiao may have his moments, but Whitaker has too much of everything that troubles him.

Also take in mind that pea is a southpaw as well, he never faced a southpaw with volume and speed like pac?
Similair to pac never having faced an elite southpaw defensive wizard.
This would be a battle between two of the best southpaws in bxoing histroy, im going with pea by 116-112 type ud though.

Pea by UD, 115-113, Pacquaio would employ relentless preassure because Pea doesn't hit hard enough to the body to discourge him. Pea is finally getting the respect he deserves because in his day he was vastly under-appreciated.

Actually, in his day he was highly regarded...Today he is under appreciated...and no 115-113 is not likely...More like 120-108 for Whitaker.

right, his profile as the pound for pound #1 in his time was quite high... he was on the cover of sports illustrated several times - just regular sports fans knew who pea was

Whitaker, he's as fast or faster, far better defensively (obviously), I think he's better offensively than he gets credit for and he would not only avoid Manny's shots but he would make him pay for his mistakes. I think Whitaker wins wide...9-3 type decision, may even knock Manny down.

 at 120-108 type scorecards. Learn a little boxing. Whitaker and Marqeuz are nothing alike stylistically. Whitaker is a southpaw, and a not a big one at that. Him and Pacquiao have roughly the same physical dimensions. Yes, whitaker is slick as hell, and maybe the greatest defense ever, but a prime Pacquiao would give him all he could handle. Pac's offense and combos are relentless and dynamic enough to catch whitaker in spots. And lets not forget how fast Pac is, and Whitaker while fast wasn't super quick. Pac is also deadly looking against left ahnders if you ever seen him in with one. I think he's even more dangerous against southpaws then he is righties.

So are you saying Pacquiao would win or not?

I don't know who would win, I think that's one of those toss-up fights, although I would lean towards whitaker based off a gut reaction. I'd have to study the style matchup a bit more.
