Schooling for 10 out of the 12 rounds. Cotto would try to walk floyd down, but would soon realise he can't do it, and would get picked apart in the pocket by floyd. Cotto work rate would play right into floyd's hands expect floyd to go to body just like he did against hatton.

I think it would be somewhat like the Pac fight with just a few differences

similarities- Floyd would win in dominant fashion, Cotto would have his moments win a round or two maybe

Differences- it will be no where near as bloody as the Pac fight, not as exciting as the Pac fight, no knockdowns and it will go 12

this fight has no interest for me, but if floyd cant get anyone else to get in the ring may 5 then he will have to try and get whoever

Floyd would begin to pick him apart by round 4 or 5, and begin to hurt Cotto.

Cotto goes into survival mode, while Floyd walks him down. Punishing UD or late stoppage by Floyd.

Cotto tries to Box with Floyd, and gets schooled. Fight ends in a dominant UD, Mayweather having been the aggressor.

:deal this. Not too dissimilar to what happened to Mosely the difference is Cotto probably keeps trying and as a result gets a worse beating by repeated stinging straight rights and hooks to the body.

Basically Floyd whoops the **** out of him starting in about round 4

Floyd will have a harder time with cotto than PAC did..e hasn't got the physical power to hurt cotto....floyd struggled with an over the hill de la Hoya who stalked him...cotto is much more diverse than Oscar and a better counter puncher at this stage...he's a more live opponent

Cotto at first frustrated by Mayweather speed and footwork taking away his left and forcing him to beat him with his right hand. Then even more frustrated by how good an inside fighter Mayweather is. Realizes he can't beat Mayweather to the punch or by bullying Mayweather on the inside as Mayweather keeps tagging him with uppercuts while he blocks his body shots with his elbows.

Resorts to trying to box Mayweather from the outside using his jab and movement forcing Mayweather to come to him. Cotto's eye would be cut by the 5th rd and he would put a lot of focus on protecting that cut. Which he ends up having some success at first but then starts getting hit with some nicely timed counter shots . Mayweather then starts to open up more as he sees Cotto physically and mentally tired looking for a plan C, landing some nice left hooks and right straights.

Mayweather wins an 9-3 or 8-4 ud.

cotto will run from about round 4 on, when he realizes he can't win

cotto vs mayweather or pac right now is a **** fight. cotto is shot and had his heart stolen twice, he's a fighter with diminishing skills and no confidence when things get rough, he's also done nothing to warrant a fight with mayweather or pac..... since the first pac fight he's beaten the worst paper champ in 154 history in Foreman who then got his ass whupped worse by the journeyman Wolak who just retired, after that he beat a beyond shot mayorga and he ran for 12 rounds against a shot to **** and eye injured margarito.....he's done nothing to deserve a mega fight with either guy, in fact he's clearly diminished further since the 1st pac fight. cotto is done for

If Gayweather run from Baldomir, he would run faster against Cotto.

If Mosley got his moments against Gayweather, then gassed out after 2 rounds, it won;t happen with Cotto.

If the very limited Ortiz had made Gayweather uncomfortable for 4 rounds, then Cotto will surely make it too.

Since Margo and Pac, Cotto has changed alot. He is more patient, doesnt rush in and has rectified some of his mistakes.

He will tag Mayweather more frequently than Mosley and land often. I dont see Mayweather utterly dominating him. A patient Cotto is very dangerous and all the Mayweathers speak highly of him.

8-4 Mayweather but Cotto has many many strong moments in the fight. I also saw a slipping Mayweather in the Ortiz fight too.
