When was Pacquiao's prime according to you?

-When he got KTFO by two journey men?
-When Agapito Sanchez was kicking his ass and got KTFO by Hussein but was saved by the ref?
-When he lost to an old Morales?
-When he fought defensive geniuses like Pea in Hatton and Diaz?
-When he fought a corpse in DLH?
-When he fought prime, healthy Margarito and Cotto who even as slow as they were managed to land on Pacquiao?

Which prime Pac are you referring too?

Whaitaker wouldn't 'shut out' any version of Pacquiao post Morales 1. Lets put it that way.

Whitaker couldn't shut out far lesser fighters, and that's no slight to him.

All of a sudden Pac has a close fight with Marquez toward the end of his career, and now he's basically a push-over? Boxing fans don't know how to think rationally.

Watch Old Whitaker vs a young Oscar De La Hoya...A DLH who was extremely fast, great combination puncher, more accurate than Pacquiao, more balanced than Pacquiao, more powerful than Pacquiao, and bigger than Pacquaio.

After that, watch Whitaker vs Jose Luis Ramirez, and observe how Whitaker beat an offensive fighter at his own game.

Then think of how sloppy Pacquaio is against movers, and defensive fighters.

    A+B= C

C= Pacquaio getting his ass kicked by Whitaker.

Your comparing apples and oranges. So Pac is a Oscar De La hoya now? I didn't know they were the same guy. Jose Luis Ramirez? Really?

I'm sure that your brain can only comprehend as far as A+B=C, but boxing is little more complicated than that. Pacquiao is a southpaw, and saying he has issues with defensive fighters' is akin to saying Ali has trouble with offensive fighters. It's a generalization and it doesnt mean anything. What kind of defensive fighter are you talking about? You mean somebody like Marquez? Last I checked Whitaker and Marquez are far away from the same person.

STFU :patsch and GTFO if you're going to act like a complete and total ******.

The Oscar De La Hoya that Whitaker fought is better than any version of Pacquiao. They do however share SOME similarities...Both were fast, both were strong, both were combination punchers...Just Oscar was more precise, was better at cutting off the ring, had better reach and power...Yet a past prime version of Whitaker gave him a hard fight.

No **** it's not as simple as ABC...But apperantly your dumbass is blinded by Pac's jizz and fail to see why comparing opponents with some similarities matters in comaprisons like this. :patsch

You want me to break it down...? Pac don't bring anything Pea hadn't seen or couldn't handle...Think about that *******.

Whitaker is a much better fighter than Marquez. Whitaker was much better defensive and very effective offensive.

You think Marquez neutralization of pac's left whilst ducking under Pac's right lead was bad ass...Whitaker would have Pac so confused Pac would be punching his face all night long. Whitaker was fast enough, skilled enough, and smart enough to make Pac's jumping straight left useless, and Pac's right would be hitting AIR all night, while getting countered by the Master Counterer Whitaker.

I can see that ****.

Pac's never fought a fully primed top fighter.

You seem to bring up this line of thought often.

I believe skillsets and weaknesses to them are something that can be compared between completely different fighters.

Whitaker would never shut this guy out (and no I'm not comparing Whitaker to David Diaz).

A 5'6, 69" reach southpaw would have a hell of a time with Pacquiao , I don't care who he is. Pacquiao is an offensive dynamo and as good as Whitaker's defense is, Pac is fast and dynamic enough offensively to catch him. Lets not forget Whitaker isn't known for his punching power, and Pac has a granite jaw and is a relentless attacker.
