How is Donaire scared when he's the fighter moving up in weight?

I don't think Donaire cares one way or the other. I don't think he is "ducking," rather pointing out that a fight with Rigondeaux is not lucrative enough financially or in hopes of building recognition as the other two fights he always talks about are in Arce and Nishioka.

In an ideal world for Nonito, he probably has the future set up like: beat Vazquez Jr, beat Arce in July, Nishioka and Rigondeaux fight in July, he'd fight the winner by years' end.

All in all, Donaire vs. Nishioka is four times more significant than Donaire vs. Rigondeaux, so I don't see why anyone would be upset. Oh, I forgot, half the people on ESB either don't pay any attention to anyone off HBO/Showtime, don't care about anyone below LW, or don't follow any fighters not from US/UK/Mexico.

Donaire is right, the main reason no one wants to fight Rigondeux is because Rigondeux is a good fighter who doesn't bring anything to the table in terms of fanbse or money.

He's worse than Paul Williams used to be or a Sergio Martinez. A guy who can't even sell out his own town but wants to challenge the P4P star. Donaire is right Rigondeux should be focused on unifying the titles not focused on him.

Why would Rigondeux want to fight Donaire rather than unify?

Rigondeax has had like 9 pro fights and he's already accused of ducking sounds like Donaire probably doesn't want to fight Rigo, and is hoping Rigondeax will fight Nishioka and hopefully lose because stylistically Nishioka would be a easier fight than Rigo for Donaire IMO.

Unfortunately, because of some of the **** these idiots say, there will be people hating on Rigondeaux. Which will be none of his fault that fanboys talk **** w/o thinking first.

I like Rigo. He can be on some snoozers, but he'll be fun to watch for the most part.

He can STILL take the likes of Mijares or Montiel. Or hell, put him in with Milotor. He'd give him a good fight and some rounds.

He can target the winnner or Vasquez Jr vs. Donaire, and that's fine. But if he's not in their immediate plans, should try to keep himself busy.

My guess is that he's wanting to make his name bigger so he wants the fight with Donaire to boost his stock..Just an assumption.:good

That's pathetic. Team Rigo got a lot of work to do.

Rigo has Donaire in red alert code!
Why does he worry about nishioka? In case he didn't know boxrec has ranked #1 at 122.
He and Rigo are promoted by the same guy, they are both in US, they both have a belt( assuming he beats jr)... What's gonna say next? ...Rigo should stop punching people in the liver?..

Unfortunately, this is the problem with the Cubans. Extremely talented, but don't have a fanbase to latch onto them.

Don't forget Rigo has a belt... Why tune up fights or little guys? He wants to fight the best, what's wrong with that? He doesn't care if nishioka or nonito. But nonito makes more sense for what I said above

Rigo's style is not very exciting for the average layman, doesn't speak English, isn't Mexican, Filipino or White, and is very, every good. More than 3 strikes for him.
