I was sitting in the train the other day and over-heared some guys talking about that Mayweather ranks above Tyson as an ATG.

I was like: Maann get out of here.

But would be interesting if some people really thinks that. I know manny people will play that 42-0 card.

No way is he better. Tyson was iconic and fought everyone they put in front of him. Floyd handpicks and does not show the confidence of a great. I think Pacman is more ATG than Mike, but not Floyd. Not close.

Wish i could over hear a random conversation about boxing that would make my day!!! I think Mayweather will no doubt be ranked higher than Tyson Atg but Tyson will be more widely remembered.

Yeah. Dos'nt happen to often. I often talk with three of my friends about boxing in the train, bus, resturant and other places. But really really rare you hear other people talk about it.

People really dont know who the champion is in any division. And all those belts dont help either.

Tyson ducked old Foreman, Bowe and Lewis for a good while.

He picked Holyfield when he did because everybody thought Holy was finished at that point, what a rude awakening it was

Floyd is an even bigger opportunistic guy, but at least he wins his matches

I actually think Tyson under Rooney, was a very skill full and great boxer. Spped, power, movement, combination.

    You just name it?

Mayweather's defensive is way better - yeah.

Mayweather's resume is far better, so yes, I would say he'll be higher on the Top 100 list. It's not that Tyson was ducking, just that he missed out on the biggest fights of the '90s due to the prison stint and he wasn't that great when he came out. Tyson had the mentality to be greater because he would have taken any and all comers, but Money, even with a little bit of cherrypicking here and there, has fought far better fighters and beat them all.

I think I'd lean towards Floyd, but I've seen some good arguments for high Tyson rankings before.

Tyson's career is just so weird and hard to judge & put into perspective.
