    Training time usually utilised to progress with technique is now used to cut water out of the body to try and gain a size advantage.

    I really blame the trainers .There is a lack of great trainers . This is why the sport suffers ..Most of today's boxers are more focused on strength instead of technique ..

    Fact is,Mexico usually is #1 or #2 in producing Champions

    Mexican and American boxers may not be what they were in past generations, but the same can be said about every country including England, Europe, and South America.

    The upcoming boxers showing good progressive skills seem to be coming out of Asia.

    Probably the same ,I mean look at his performances against Trout and Mayweather ..Canelo doesn't know how to walk in the ring ..
