I didn't know that was John's career highest weight last night, plus looking at record he'd only had one win in 4 years. Although many felt he beat Fury in first fight as well as Williams.

Price did what he needed to do, i think just gotta sit back and see him now against the better end of domestic/european scene.

Price scored a good win, but then people tend to jump on the bandwagon. Remember how many felt Groves could beat DeGale, then Groves struggled with Anderson and DeGale sparkled with a performance over Smith and then many wrote off Groves thinking DeGale would win easily, which didnt happen.
I think that would be similar for Price against Fury.

I'm not sure Price's chin is as bad as people make out. Only seen him slightly wobbled once and that was when his mouthguard came out and he was looking at the floor and Dave Ingleby fully twatted him on the chin. Ingleby isn't the biggest puncher but he's still a big guy and Price only seemed mildly stunned.

Big John reckons he was only 18'4 and did look in better shape than
normal IMO,and although having only 1 win in 4 years he has been in some great fights and has been robbed on a couple of occasions fury/Williams so I think this demonstration from price tells us a lot .As opposed to a lot of other posters views that we have no more info on price after this fight ????

He bombed big John out in 73 seconds withstanding a couple of big right hands himself , so can't be that chinny as people keep saying.

Most of the times we hear about a fighter being branded with an awful chin is actually down to having a woeful defence, something which is easily fixed. Look at Wladimir Klitschko for an example. Price can certainly improve that which is to be expected. Fury is another one being branded with a "glass chin" after his performance against the feather fisted Pajkic. Well I find that nonsense, Firtha didn't flatten Fury because of an awful chin, that was entirely down to his utter **** defence. Any 6'4 man weighing 16 stone of mostly muscle (Pajkic) that throws a telegraphed punch from the back of the room is going to knock down almost anybody from history if you just keep your hands down by your side like an idiot (Fury).

I think David Price is a good prospect. I always have thought that. He has the size and power, and there's no reason why he can't develop top-level skill. but it will depend on his chin, heart and toughness

Mcdermott was a disgrace the other night though. a fat waste of space. the board of control shouldn't allow fat ****s like him to fight for titles until they get themselves into some sort of condition.
he's a 31 year old man, supposedly a professional boxer, fighting for the championship of England, and he comes in looking like an out-of-shape 50 year old slob

its **** like that being televised that has been killing the popularity of the sport for the last 30 years in the UK.

Its similar to Chisora there're many people who have only seen the Fury fight where he was a slow, fat ****. Those people won't be able to understand why he got a fight with Vitali.

let's hope he shows up for the Vitali fight in decent shape.
you never know we've these guys, they sometimes save their worst shape for the most important fights !
