I'm sick fed up of all these jokers who think Sonnen acutally has a chance against Anderson

Anderson is the best fighter of all time, after Fedor of course. He's on a completley different plane from anyone who isn't Jon Jones. And he's ridden that plane for a decade longer than Jon

I get the feeling Andersons faking injurys as he wants to retire real soon, and so makes everyone wait for the Sonnen rematch. He's feeding off the fact so many people think the rematch will actually be competitive.

It wont be competitive. Anderson is on a completely different level from Sonnen.

He needs to fight Bones before he retires, anyone who thinks the Sonnen fight will be competitive is in for a rude awakening

The majority of fans aren't wrong. Any time a fight turns out to be competitive, there's always going to be a clamor for a rematch. That's just how it is. If the rematch turns out to be one-sided in favor of Silva then I'll give him credit. But until then we don't know what's going to happen. Since Silva won't fight Bones the next best thing is Sonnen. There's nobody else.

Sonnen is garbage. Silva is going to humiliate him this time and kick his face off. Il be in the first row waiting to catch it.

If Spider v Sonnen 2 does happen I fully expect it would be a huge attraction and rightfully so. I doubt it will be completely one sided, but like most I expect Silva would win comfortably.

    In this case they are.

Ive argued for hours on end that the only fight for either Anderson or Bones is each other. Sonnen is a fun distraction, but a fully fit Anderson will knock him cold within the the first round. Anderson is a genius, on a different level from even great fighters like Henderson and Belfort. Bones is the only guy ive seen who can come close. And his massive massivity tips the odds a lil more to his side

and he wont be fighting against a half wounded animal

sonnen actually caught anderson in the stand up - anderson basically stood there

its amazing nothings been made out of that. watch the fight again. anderson on his feet looks totally out of sorts

i love sonnen, hes gonna UD Bisping this weekend, but Spider will devastate him :-(

Anderson is so much greater than Sonnen it doesn't even merit comment.

But stylistically, Sonnen is always going to be a difficult fight for Anderson.

In saying that, I'll still back Silva to win by TKO when they rematch, and I'll still be cheering all the way.

**** Sonnen, he doesn't deserve a rematch or a sizable payday ****ing cheater. Bring on a Hendo rematch. I'd rather pay money to see that.

Yes, it certainly looked like he was doing that in the first fight for the first four and a half minutes.:patsch

Is Silva "greater" in terms of overall ability and legacy? Absolutely. That means **** all in a head-to-head match-up where Silva's always shaky takedown defense puts him in dire straights anytime he faces Sonnen. It is simply a bad match-up and he and his management know this. Sonnen has the Chin to withstand the shots he needs to to get in clinch or shot range and he has the best takedowns in the division. Silva always has a chance to put him to sleep because he is supremely talented on the feet and hits like a freight train but this is never going to be an easy match-up for him. Ever.

If Silva can avoid takedowns I'll agree with you.

How many avoid takedowns better than Silva?
