Well Pac was gauranteed 22.5 million by TR, Marquez 5 million.
Mayweather was gauranteed 25 million by GBP, Ortiz 2.5 million.

exactly the same amount of money on the table, except Marquez got more than Ortiz.

Arum paid Marquez an estimated 10 million, Pac an estimated 30 million. How much did Mayweather and Ortiz walk away with?

WTF are you talking about, de la hoya was easily the betting favourite to win that fight.

Did you start watching boxing yesterday?

It was seen as a complete mismatch, that's why it only did 1.25M PPV

Now we're supposed to go year by year or total because Pacquiao has had more fights? Get the **** outta here. Based on common opponents: Mayweather is the bigger draw. Based on average number of PPV sales including or excluding DLH: Mayweather is the bigger draw. Based on highest selling PPV's outside of the HW division: Mayweather is the bigger draw with two of the top three all time (Pacquiao has one of those).

I see you can't detect sarcasm

Does this mean you're acknowledging it as a good win?

I still fail to see how people are considering each fighter's paychecks as a benchmark for what the split should be. Their paychecks have LITTLE bearing on the subject; if Floyd donated his whole purse to charity does this mean he deserves 20% and Pac deserves 80%? NO it's what they GENERATE in TOTAL, affected by lurking variables such as opponent, venue, time of year, year, etc. What they DO with the money has little relevance whatsoever :patsch

It sounds all well and good but arum takes away 27 percent of that money. So pac is not earning that at all.

lol the writer says 40m flat would be 60/40 for floyd...If the fight breaks records it'll be closer to 70/30..sounds like floyd wants this fight more and more each day :-:)-(

I thought pac v marquez 3 was also seen as a mismatch to the casual fans yet it gave pac his biggest ppv buy:lol:

You *******s can try spin things all you want, but the truth don't lie.:deal

The debate is about ppv numbers, not about whether beating del la hoya is a good win, i don't give a flying **** about that :patsch
