Donaire should have kept quiet the last few days. A sane person would have said "I'm ready to fight him any time" and let Arum do his thing. Instead he is making excuses and unreasonable statements such as wanting Gamboa instead of Rigo when he clearly can't have him. Meanwhile in reality he is fighting for a vacant belt against a guy on the rebound from a KO loss after which he wants the Bantamweight titlist Arce against whom he'll be a massive favourite.

It makes him sound like a pretender.

I dont know why donaire would fight rigon...high risk low reward. He's much better off fighting gamboa..a lot more crowd pleasing and a bigger money maker unless he plans to milk it for later.

Maybe it's because you just landed from another planet?

    Please take note:

Rigondeaux = Top 3 Best amateur boxer in History.

    2 Times Olympic Gold Medalist ( 2000 - 2004 )

    2 Times World Amateur Champion ( 2001 - 2005 )

    2003 Pan American Champion ( 2003 )

Central American and Caribbean Games Champion ( 2006 )

    2 Times World Cup Champion ( 2002 - 2005 )

    7 Times Cuban National Champion

And did I forget that he is possibly the best body puncher in boxing today? Plenty of reasons to be scared of him. As you can see he is not really a 9-0 starter who just won a Belt.

    Understand better now?

    ;)

Rigondeaux has the style to beat Donaire

He has the defensive skills to frustrate Donaire like Narvaez did but he also has the speed to land his own counter shots, whilst also punching with authority. We won't see the best of Rigo until he fights someone who comes at him all night. I personally think the best fight for him would be Juanma (as long as he beats Salido in the rematch).

What about if they fight in nonito hometown ? Can he sell enough tickets? Isn't he a big star? The only big Cuban Plaza in US is Miami , don't expect big crowds of Cuban somewhere else.Either make the fight in Miami or wherever nonito is a big draw.
PAC fought Clotey in Ppv because of the tickets he sell, no because anybody gives a **** about Clotey or his fanbase.
    Enough nonito, no more excuses

All this coward talk is boring and frankly irritating. No fighter at the elite level are cowards, they're mercenaries who want pay commensurate with risk. If Nonito or any other elite fighter were paid Warrren Buffet money, they would fight Klitchko if they needed to. The real deal is that Rigondeaux is a very good fighter with a very small fanbase, which consists of the 4 Cuban ESBers on this website. If these 4 Cubans can buy 1 million PPVs, this fight will be made.
