As a man, I cant say too much about how another man handles his business matters.... with that being said, Pac lost me on this one. $40 million guaranteed, and he wont accept b/c of PPV split?!!?!?!?!? IDK, seems like he is trying to negotiate TOO much.

I have a feeling his promoter had more to do with this turn down then Pac himself. Not sure of how much he will make fighting another opponent, but I seriously doubt that he will see anything close to 40 mill, even with him controlling PPV split if he fighs someone else.

Everyone has advisors who can tell them when to take a deal, floyd respects al haymon and schaffer.

But when you allow floyd to go out by himself and negotiate by himself, of course he gonna get a little crazy with his demands.

Let Arum call Al Haymon to get things back on track.

Exactly, but I came to the realization a few months ago, that as great as ESB can be (articles, some threads, etc...) it doesn't seem to be a large perecentage of business savvy people on here. No disrespect to anyone, I am just basing this thought off a lot of responses I see. How anyone could say Pac getting $40 million guaranteed is not fair is beyond me:?

See this is where the numbers get lost- the guarantee is just a guarantee which is more of a safeguard than anything. It's not a starting point where stuff gets tacked on after. The starting point is the total revenue for the fight. $78M gross minus the 55% from network and cable 78 x .45 = 35.1M so we're down to 35.1M already, minus Shane's guarantee which I don't recall what it is so I'll just guess 5M minimum and now its down to 30M. Even with his share of the gate it wouldnt add up to 40M (but its still above 22.5M so his guarantee is still fulfilled). Now you still have to subtract trainer fees, camp fees, and misc expenses such as travel and promotion as well as taxes.

More money than pac would ever make, instead of running away, why don't pac continue negotiate to instead of moving on. Why don't he call floyd to see if they can come to some understanding. Pac ain't good at this game is he. :rofl

There are other forms of revenue that is generated from the fight, than just the ones you just listed. Floyd said himself that he is still receiving checks from the oscar and mosley fights to this day.:deal

pacquiao has a simple request, a 50/50 split. why won't floyd offer it to pacquiao when he agreed to it back in 2009?

More power to him because he is a savvy businessman so he can receive profits from the businesses/shops etc running during the event which is probably where he's getting some of this residual income from. BUT that has nothing to do with his raw "draw" power.

Same as if Pac made a killing off his stocks it wouldn't make a difference in negotiations. We're talking how much money is generated from "drawing the crowd to the event" hence "draw" which is measured by gate and PPV

it's not for you *****s to decide which is fair. 50/50 is as fair as it gets especially when pac outsold floyd back in 2011.
