Sturm really is a disgraceful ****. It'll be a good day for the sport when he loses that belt he's been keeping hostage.

If only the WBA would enforce the Golovkin fight :verysad

I think we would see Barker start to control the first half with his jabs and straight rights and movement, although Barker does seem to get sloppy in the second half of fights (not using range and footwork, employing stationary turtle defence etc), so I see Murray coming on strong in the middle/later rounds with bodywork and eventually getting on the inside but being hampered by being slightly one paced.
With Barkers technical ability (if he sticks with it) and Murrays grit, I beleive it would be a very close entertaining fight. I predict Barker UD by no more than 1 or 2 rounds.

Fight not happening, just got a press release saying Hatton offered the fight but Eddie rejected it saying that he thinks he may have a world title shot for Barker lined up.

Then why was Eddie blabbing about making an offer to Murray yesterday?

It looks like both promoters will only do it if they have the show. Hatton should have negotiated this fight when they were thrashing out Magic v Brook imo.

Just because the stadium is 17,000 doesn't mean he needs to fill it. For the Mitchell fight at Upton Park they only used half the pitch.

The press release is on twitter now as is Eddies response that the money was nowhere near enough

Sounds like Eddie is slowly morphing into an individual named Fwank.

Murray should offer McEwan a fight if Barker doesn't work out.

And here I thought he was the saviour of British boxing despite raking it through the mud with those godawful Prizefighter jokes.

Hearn's just like every other promoter when it gets down to it.

Yeah I agree with you. He and Brook were acting like they had got a fight with Floyd Mayweather the way they were retweeting people's positives comments. Calm down Hearn you got him a fight with Hatton which should have happened much sooner.

Barker seems to have ducked more opponents than brothers ducking bullets in Tottenham recently...

He was just a little busy taking on the #1 middleweight in the world.
