What other options does he have fighting at light heavy?, it's either this or retire in my opinion.

Yup, Dawson was motivated and determined in their first fight. You could just tell he wasn't going to just sit back and play into Hopkin's Sunday stroll pace. He was constantly pressuring Hopkins and making Hopkins constantly move.

Would anyone be shocked of Dawson someone KOs Hopkins? I sure wouldn't. A clumsy Pascal got two KDs in the first fight and had Hopkins hurt twice in the 2nd one. A motivated Dawson is a dangerous threat to anyone from 168-175.

Why can't he fight Bute for a lot more money and probably an easier fight? I'm sure they could've agreed on a catch weight.

Can't really blame them though especially for the crap he's pulled(flops and constant cheating/fouling). Would be really impressed if he beat Dawson though in a decisive fashion. For the record, I like this fight MUCH better than him facing Bute. IMO Dawson is a better fighter but Bute uses more of what he has and doesn't daydream in the ring. If Dawson wins decisively he SHOULD get credit and he would be the first person to beat Hopkins since Jones to leave no doubts after fighting Hopkins. Especially if he Ko's him which Hopkins is basically asking for fighting at this age and fighting someone so hungry, thirsty, and young. Dawson is a lion in there.

Me too, as much as I dislike him. I'd probably be a fan again Win/Loss just as long as he brings a fight that leaves the bad taste of the first fight outta people's mouths which would take an ATG effort.

Good news but not surprising at all. This undercard needs to be packed because most likely the main event will be crappy.

Dawson absolutely does have the tools to stop Hopkins,BUT Hopkins knows whats gonna happen, which is why i think he'll try spoiling from the off,and as soon as he realise's he's in too deep he'll look for a way out.
Untill the body slam in the first fight,i honestly thought "**** this might be the first time Hopkins gets stopped" Dawson had a scarey look in his eyes.

Hopkins is full of it. He would of been up like shot had he knew they were gonna award Dawson the fight. Everyone, if they're honest with themselves, knows that's the truth. That is how badly hurt he really was, and it tells what he was looking to do, either get Dawson DQ'd, or points taken by play acting.

I think Dawson should be a solid favorite in this one, eventually Hopkins has to hit that wall and this could be that fight. On one hand this is a big fight between, probably, the two best guys at 175 and it has a good story-line built into it. So this should be a fight that everyone is exctied about.

On the other hand, this fight will probably stink and after Hopkin's last performance I'd rather not see him in the ring again. HBO is probably going to spend a lot of money on this fight when they could make several far more entertaining ones with that money.

Hopefully, Dawson beats Hopkins and goes onto face what will be an extremely deep 175 pound division over the next few years. While Hopkins finally retires, starts training fighters, and waits for the Hall of Fame to call.

In case Bernard pulls it off at this age and with everything people have been sayin, I ask immediately, actually I demand for apologies and no irony please. I await until April to hear from the Calzaghe, Roy Jones, Chad fans and Hopkins' haters in general. You know that I know who you are, buddies...

If he pulls it off, i would rate it as his 2nd best win below Tito but i just don't see it. Dawson is all wrong for Hopkins. He isn't slow like Pavlik nor is he flawed technically like Pascal. If Dawson comes to fight, which i think he will, i don't think Hopkins can do anything to stop a loss. Hopkin's only chance is for Dawson to not be there mentally on fight night. Dawson is tall, fast and doesn't get reckless. Hopkins will have to take chances to win and that means getting into that "young ****" which might leave him gased and i know he will try to fight a slow paced fight.
