Interesting, indepth article here. Poses a few good questions:

    1. Who is the true number 1 in the CW division - Huck, Cunningham, Lebedev, Tarver, Hernandez or even Afolabi?

    2. How will the domestic scene progress? Is there a dominant champion out there? Surely McPhilbin won't hold onto the title for too long.

    3. What about the prospects both British; Askin, Lewis-Dickinson and Simmons, and International; Kayode and Masternak.

    4. How would Tony Bellew handle some of the above? I don't think LHW is that much stronger to be honest.

    5. How can you keep a title with just 2 defences in three and a half years? WBA - :barf

Feels like there's an opportunity for someone to become a 'two weight world champion' via a pretty soft route.

It seems stupid to match askin and Dickinson in an eliminator put it that way

  4. 1. I think Lebedev.... but he needs to actually prove it.

    2. :dead Not wanting to be unkind, but McPhilbin is awful. He'll not be facing anyone threatening until he has to.

    3. There's a fair few good prospects coming through, but I can see some fattening up to become fodder for the Klitschkos. It's where the money is.

    4. He'd beat them all.

    5. God knows....

    I agree.

Give one of them the first shot at McPhilbin and the other first shot at the winner.

    Sorted.

Organise an eliminator between two others for a shot towards the back end of this year.

Lebedev until he steps up to the adult division.

Rakhim Chakhkiev will become the man in time.
Would fancy his chances of winning on points against the British riff raff, against the International field would be punching well above his weight.
This sport is a business at the end of the day somewhat that the WBA make no qualms about with there blatant shoddy rules. So it's no surprise that we see the WBA have the 3 key rules of economic success down to a tee.

    1. Steal underpants
    2.
    3. Profit.

Never heard of him - you seen any fights?

You know if someone had said to me pre-Martinez that Ricky Burns would become a 2 weight world champion I'd've thought they were mad. Its not a crazy opinion at all for Bellew to do the same.

Also what about Frenkel? He's quit due to depression apparently :verysad

Who have you guys got for Askin/JLD? Its probably the only decent British CW fight out there.

Yeah he's funny looking alright, he's fighting tomorrow I think on the same card as Chagaev and Botysov.

While looking for a picture that captures the sheer wonders of his monobrow i've actually found a snap that is more gay then the Katsidis vs Mitchell poster.

    1. Hernandez

    2. Looks very healthy, Conquest, Askin, Danny Price & Stephen Simmons

    3. Kayode is rats. Masternek & Chakkiev will be on a world level soon. Lots of other good prospects like Dorticos, Kiladze & Kalenga.

    4. Tony could potentially do very well at CW

    5. If your manager is Don King, anything is possible

It is a diabolical eliminator both deserve straights shots and both could easily beat McPhilbin

1.Cunningham, Lebedev is second and Ola is around 3rd or 4th. I expect USS to beat Hernandez.

    2. McPhilbin will lose title in first defence IMO, Conquest or any other top CW will beat him. Williams mentally lost that fight in round 11 for me he seemed to just get fed up and lose concentration and Shane deserved it for persevering.

    3. Kayode's ok, he was outboxed by Ianuzzi IMO. He improved on that display last time out. Lewis-Dickinson meh.. Askin looks like he'll do well domestically need to see more before talking European/World

4.Tony would do very well, Cunningham would be a tough tough fight as well as Lebedev but he'd win a world title for sure. I think we could have two British world champions if Ola and Tony were to fight at CW and Ola continue to be serious.

    5. It's the WBA..
