What's the saddest thing you've seen in Boxing?

I don't know about the SADDEST, but when Linares was sitting on the stool following his TKO loss to DeMarco, blood pouring out of his face...it was a pretty sad sight.

it was sad seeing alfonso gomez giving his hardest badass look on jose luis castillo and seeing castillo a former shell of himself. castillo even looked like during the referee's instruction he knew this would not go well. the same man that put on the greatest fight in recent memory with corrales.

Smokin Joe being unable to let go of the past, I don't think he ever found peace

Max Baer being vilified needlessly in Cinderella Man

Funeka's face when he was robbed against Guzman. No whining, just stunned, unsure what had happened

The crowd booing Mosley in May.. I hope no one remembers him that way.

    Meldrick Taylor's "Legendary Nights"

The hatred and vile "fans" show this generation of fighters. Ducks, pussies, glass jaw bums, jokes, hype jobs, etc... It gets old, and really shows a persons I.Q level

The man in the hat, who Khan alleges (and not without some foundation) interfered with the Peterson fight

this gets mentioned so rarely and people overlook it so much.

carried the fight till the 5th to Amir could get the nob and when people discuss his career the include Barrera as a legitimate win.

Haye worming his way to heavyweight champ pissed all over UK boxing the his final fight with Wlad was the icing on the cake, wasn't saddened just enraged

Hatton's decline after the Mayweather fight, although he has himself to blame for career declining and going out the way he did

-Cotto family crying after the first Margarito fight
-Tyson having no chance against Lewis
-Holyfield RJJ still fighting and getting beat up
-Taylor post fight interview in the locker room after he lost to Pavlik "i cant believe I lost"
    etc.

Watching Khan dance around a blinded Barrera thinking he was a prime Ray leonard schooling Duran. Fight should have been stopped after the cut, was an absolute disgrace allowing the fight to go 4/5 rounds so Khan got the win.

Also i watched a documentary on Ali and Frazier. Frazier said he couldnt even cash a cheque when he was heavyweight champ then at the end he is an old man all alone living in a run down gym, never really got the life he earned.

as above, the Gatti v gomez fight was a complete joke!!

Fighters being drained for pay days also pisses me off, especially when people like Roach admit to doing it!!!

De La Hoya going out the way he did was horrible to see, draining himself down to that weight. When i seen him in the build up to the fight i just knew it wasnt going to end well for him.
