I think the other way around. If he had long arms and was taller, like P. Williams or someone like that, then the bench press would be more impressive because of the distance of travel to execute the movement.

But he is 5'8/5'9ish and doesnt have really long amrs so it is muuch easier for him to bench then a taller person. Im 6'0 even, w/ nrelatively longer arms than average and though I dont bench press too much no more, I was up to 235 a few years ago. And again, I read he would squat 500lbs for reps not singles

Didn't know this, interesting. Yeah I would say he is probaly one of the top strongest fighters, as far as pure strength is concerned. Nazim had said that he is one of strongest weltreweight that he has ever seen

Apart from the fact that if you tap him on the chin he'll go to sleep, you're right.

For his division, Kirkland is exceptionally strong. Makes me wonder what he's using.

I was thinking of him too but his lack of knockout poewr made me refrain, though being srong doesn't mean you have explosive punching power

Why are people mentioning lower weight fighters when the stread starter is clearly asking NOT p4p.
Also hes NOT mentioning weightlifting, hes mentioning being able to manhandle someone and push them around.

Ie the fighter with the most raw functional strength.
Good example being Holyfield being able to manhandle Tyson.

    My vote remains Vitali though.
