He finally had the upper hand, with Arum spouting bull**** excuses about cuts that take 3 years to heal, temporary stadiums that cost nothing to build and allow 40,000 people to somehow simultaneously sit ringside, etc.

He could - and should - have left it at that.

He could've easily sat back and said, "Look, I have this May 5th date at the MGM locked up and if these guys don't want to step up and fight I'll have to find an opponent elsewhere."

Frankly, I think it would've ended there. But then Floyd decides to call Manny on the phone and demand that he not only fight him on his May 5 date, but that he give Floyd a larger share of the money as well? And to top it all off, he's not even offering Pacquiao a percentage but rather a flat amount after which Mayweather can take all the PPV upside?

What in the land of **** is he thinking here? Has any deal of this nature ever been accepted (or even proposed) in boxing history? If and when this fight doesn't come off, this will be the 3rd time that Mayweather will have ducked Pacquiao in the eyes of EVERY reasonable boxing fan.

You're clearly ******ed...so by Floyd making an offer to Manny, he's ducking...even though Arum and Manny have legitimately ducked Floyd ever since the JMM fight ended? I'm confused at how you arrive at this conclusion...

I dont think so. In fact its only in the eyes of the unreasonable that see Floyd as the ducker.

Bottom line is Floyd is the only chasing this fight, Arums not, Pacs not and Roach isnt.

Look when you have Arum say "absolutely not" when asked if it was possible that Pac fight Floyd next. And Roach say " the fight aint happening" and Manny saying "its up to my promoter" How the **** is that floyds fault.

Or "We have no problem with any drug testing mayweather wants" then backing out over not wanting to be tested.

Or "I will fight for less then 50%" only to back out when its offered.

You have one guy tring to make the fight happen, and the other side tring to make it go away. Yes I could see how a reasonable person like yourself could see that as Floyds fault:roll::patsch

Anyone with a semblance of a brain knew from the beginning that Floyd wasn't serious about fighting Pac on May 5th.

On ESB that's not many people.

yeah when it comes down to it this is how I feel:

Floyd legitimately wanted the fight. So did everybody else except for Arum.
Floyd had the upperhand and should have agreed to 50/50, but even if he did the fight still wouldn't have been made.
I think when he made his offer, if Arum really cared enough, he could have compromised down to 50/50, but he just took that first excuse and ran with it.

I'm mad at Floyd because he should have known that Arum was going to do that exact thing and now Floyd is still here trying to defend his proposal when really he just needs to come off of that

one part of the equation. arum still does not want it in may 5 even if pac and floyd had agreed to 50-50. something tells me this is not the end of it though. if the pattern continues, arum does something to turn the tide around again. ****ing crazy negotiations is what it is and we're all dragged in it.
