    Clearly, Muhammad Ali.

    Bare-Knuckle fighter you say?!

John Randall? Dutch Sam? Tom Johnson? Tom Hyer?

Bugger, your bugging me :good John Henry Lewis great LH champion was a very distant nephew of a former slave Tom Molineaux who went to England and fought the great bare-knucle British HW champion Tom Cribb twice in 1818, in two epic battles...Cheers B.

Read up a little on JHL a while back due to one of your other quizs. He was a hell of a fighter.

B, indirectly because of John Henry Lewis, I became a boxing buff. As posted before as a very young boy , my family lived next door to a trainer of John Henry Lewis. Every night I would go next door and spar with some fighters in JH Lewis's stable. I would eat salads with the stablemates ,and ask questions about boxing in general. I never saw the great man himself, but his trainer and my family became good friends. Cheers.

Is his lack of posting on esb due to christmas quiz fiasco?
