would you say Pac win over Cotto was cause Cotto 1.drained himself 2. Green corner 3.Pac style and style makes fights
Corner ? Really? That's a lame excuse. Cotto wasn't weight drained, because by his own admission AFTER the fight: "I felt great in the fight, the weight wasn't a problem." Those were HIS words, go look it up. Pac beat him because of styles and because he was a better fighter.
Not just corner, but camp. His preparation was horrid for that fight from a technical standpoint. Pacquiao still has some great stylistic advantages over Cotto, but that was the worst form I've ever seen Cotto in.
Cotto got owned cause pac was better, if cotto had all these advantages he wouldnt have lost that one sided just a clear ud imo. He was also unlucky that he faced the prime version that peaked against him.
So what. That is Cotto being Cotto. He never likes to use excuses for a loss. He was weight drained. If by some chance Cotto beats PBF, Arum and crew will be trying to kick down the door for a Pac rematch.
pac has a history of catchweight bull**** as does floyd, both are an embarrassment to the sport right now.
Completely due to Pacs style and being the better fighter, he was beating him to the punch all night. Can't take nothing from Manny its a great victory that should be heralded as such
Cotto dropped 1lb from his last fight, Pac jumped from 140 from his last fight...yet you boys complain about Pac having the advantage with weight. Cotto was not drained. Floyd beating Cotto now would be pretty impressive, equally as impressive as Pac's win of course depending on how they win. That said if this was the other way around, we would have all the *****'s callin "leftovers", this despite Floyd not being known to punish his opponents, whereas Pac definitely punished Cotto.
Cotto and pac have been in more catchweight fights than floyd. In fact floyd technically hasn't participated in any catchweight fights :rofl
The weight was the issue that's why Pacquiao insists on the catchweight.Even Roach said 'we have to drain him' and wanted to do the same with Mosley
