not many, i guess. Whitaker tended not to get hit, he outboxed his opponents so purely I can see what you're saying.

Willie Pep was a similar sort of fighter. And there are some very good fighters on his win resume.

Benny Leonard too. But we're going back years now.

But maybe quick KO artists are disadvantaged in such a discussion. Overwhelming an opponent with power within 2 or 3 rounds is a form of domination too.
Joe Louis did that to men like Baer, and Schmeling - very good fighters at least.

 

On his best day yes.

Then again, he could loose to a guy in the first encounter, and then in the rematch he might put on a Calzaghe Lacey style domination.

Alternativley he might put on the Calzaghe Lacey domination in the first fight, then the other guy might figure out a strategy for coping with him, and win or put up a competitive loss.

Perhaps the take home message, is that a domination does not mean that the looser can never win.

 

Without footage it's almost impossible to judge just how dominant greb was against his greatest rivals.

The first against tunney is well reported and documented so we can fairly class that as a domination.

Pea is the most talented fighter during my lifetime though. He's better than jones was imo.

If there was a top whatever p4p of 87-97 his domination would look amazing.

The first to come to my mind was Ezzard Charles.

Charley Burley twice, Moore 3 times, Bivins 4 out of 5 (or was it 3 out of 4?), Lloyd Marshall, Joey Maxim, Elmer Ray, Joe Baski, Yarosz, Jersey Joe and a very very old Joe Louis (the majority of these he had numerous wins over).

 

Not all of these wins were dominating though and not all fighters were ATGs.

 

I think it's a hard stretch to find anyone that can dominate the calibre of fighters Charles beat. While Whitaker may have looked far more impressive, Charles beat the better fighters IMO.

Two UDs over burley, 2 decisions over Moore to go alongside a KO win, dominating an old Louis, as well as scoring wide decisions and KOs over Bivins, Marshall, Maxim, Elmer Ray, Baski and Jersey Joe. That's good enough for me
