That's true, but let's be honest he was fighting a Mummy and mostly danced around him for 12 rounds.

 

I agree with the thread title and though this could be an interesting subject, but it turns out this thread is almost a criticism of Floyd and a praise of Manny. You made a point of mentioning their choices of opponents, for the last two years they have fought pretty much the same opponents as each other. Clottey, Cotto and Ortiz spring to mind as unique opponents. You have to respect Manny for taking on Cotto, that was a dangerous fight for WBO ww title. At the same time you must repect Floyd for taking on Ortiz to win WBC ww title. Remember Ortiz had just inflicted a first defeat on Berto to win the title. I thought this thread would be related to their fighting styles and not to some BS about choosing easy or hard opponents.

Pac is concerned with hitting and not getting hit with an emphasis on hitting. Floyd is concerned with hitting and not getting hit with an emphasis on not getting hit.

Both are boxers in my book. I don't really make a distinction between boxer, fighter, etc.
