Good shot placement by Amidu, landing light arm punches but getting them all over Kim's face and ribs with even ambidextrous distribution. The ref warns Amidu for something. Going low? Now Kim comes back, BIG COMBO!! Amidu's head is rocked. More combos by Kim, ramping up the intensity! Amidu jabs, then forms up his guard as Kim drills away at him and causes him to rubberneck. SWEET straight combo by Amidu puts Kim momentarily on the ropes, but the comeback by Kim is imminent! Big heavy shots by Kim!!

You know, I rather like the sound of the gloves on human flesh tonite. ESPN is sporting some good sound tonite. Nice and crisp. You know how some broadcasts make it sound rather muted, or dull. Not tonite. At least not on my tv. Maybe it's just me?

 

Round 8

Kim jabs and ambles out. Kim steps to his left, darts in with a jab, and ambles back out again. Kim is boxing from outside. Weird. Amidu stands pat doing nothing. Amidu is pouring blood from his left eye socket. Kim is putting in some good shots from outside, jabs and right hands and staying out of Amidu's reach with movement when not throwing. Amidu isn't firing much back. Hook to the chest by Kim. Amidu hops around him and tries to hook at his head with a wide-reaching left. Forward-thrusting combo by Kim. Amidu now answers back with some spirited body shots diving inside. Slapping overhand right by Amidu. Kim bashes with windmill overhands, slugging himself back to type. A bit of a lull with twenty seconds left, Kim uncertain whether to box or brawl. A little skirmish before the bell, Amidu landing a left hook.

Kim is back to form, pounding away with both hands. Amidu is slapping ineffectively, rendered toothless on the back foot. Kim is hooking and crossing away with abandon, heedless of whether he's fully caught on the mitts as if most often the case or clipping Amidu high on the skull as is still the case plenty enough for Kim to be dominating. Amidu is just drowned in punches, swimming against the tide with a sprayed mist of slaps.
