Allegedly allegedly binned by James DeGale after alleged issues around failure to make alleged contractual payments.

Yeah also he's got alot of flaws as a fighter so hes puts on exciting fights. The gypsy stuff is just a gimmick to help him remembered. Most people watch boxing for excitement not for the nuances and skill. In the same way I watch rugby occasionally and want to see mad tackles, long rungs and comebacks, i accept alot of whats happening is going over my head but I enjoy it anyway.

 

Assuming the allegations that he wants to leave Allegedly are true where does he go? I can only really see him signing with Matchroom tbh. If the allegations that he's unhappy with what he'd be paid by Allegedly I couldn't see him signing for Big Mick and fighting on Channel 5 for probably less money that he's contracted to just now.

 

Fighting on Channel 5 would have it's advantages though.

I don't see him jumping ship to America because he is too settled and wouldnt have it in him to completely pack up and move over to a place where he would be a nobody and would have to work his way up and get respect. Plus he is european champ so he would have to have his fights for that title in europe I'd imagine.

He is leaving ****** because of financial reasons. He either hasn't been paid or ****** is really downsizing his purses for future fights or probably both. He will have to take a big paycut whereever he goes. Matchroom will be able to get him more fights so I can see him going to them. However, Hennessy with his channel 5 contract is a real possibility. Cant see him going to maloney.

 

No way any manager/promoter can match his 'alleged' deal. If he goes he has to drop his price.

 

What if he setup his own promotion company and managed himself, with a little financial backing from an investor? Similar to Haye

 

Wouldn't really work. Look how well it worked out for Audley. It's alright if you're Ray Leonard and have the charisma and charm to make people want to see you fight, good trainers to work with, and a good platform in national terrestrial television to build on. I don't think DeGale ticks those boxes.

 

He's not got a fanbase - who's going to invest in him?

 

Be interesting to see if it has a knock on effect, boxers crave money and exposure, Degale is allegedly not getting the former and is certainly not getting the latter.

Anybody know how long the deals of Bellew, Clev, Groves and Gavin run for?
