He totally dominated and controlled that fight. Carlos hardly took a shot and I am very encouraged by his defence, great KO.
with respect to Hughes I want to see Frampton in the ring with somebody a little more dangerous, it is easy to relax, pick your shots and take you time if you are in virtually no danger before the bell has gone for the first round.
it was those four rounds of sustained pounding that opened him up in the first place... and notice it was on a one-punch counter? not a bashing against the ropes, which hughes is good at defending against, because he isnt a big puncher and knows how to drag out a fight
Impressive, Hughes did well tbh he stuck in there he just doesn't have power/respect in shots. Plus levels were clearly wide.. Frampton has to get active, my only worry is way sometimes he trades big punches with hands down. All in all a very professional performance that ended with quality work. I was just thinking 'now we'll see if Carl has the power and ability to close show in fight like this...' and he did.
Hughes was wide open from the outset, it shouldn't have taken him to open up for Frampton to have taken him out.
:deal Until its for a European title at least, and I hope the fight doesnt happen this year certainly.
Hughes didn't have much snap at all in his shots at the start .He took some shots though but think he could maybe be doing with a move up to featherweight he's 5ft 11.Frampton looked solid nice right hand at the end
its bizarre but as stevo from jackass said about back tats, "hey at least i dont have to ****ing look at it!"
