I be honest i really rate this kid but i got a feeling he's gonna get cut a lot if he lets people get close with head like he did tonight, liked his short punches on inside and ending. He's classy fighter maybe is a bit overly side on and makes things a little harder on himself but he's got classy shot selection and power and i like that he can punch on the move.
yeah thats why frampton was htting him from the outset, just because a guy is "wide open" as you say during exchanges does not mean that he can be finished there and then, theres a difference in hitting a guy, hurting a guy, and finishing a guy. read my comments throughout ths RBR, it was pretty ****ing obvious that frampton was a class above and gonna stop him eventually, thats why I said "wear him down". do you think those bodyshots and early round headshots didn't have a direct effect on Hughes slowing down and getting finished later on in the fight? the kew word is "awkward". Hughes has 1 stoppage in 15 wins, so he's used to defending and moving and dragging out a fight, you HAVE to do this when you cant punch. heres the bottom line, he got outclassed from the start and eventually got knocked out... is that not good enough? we all know there is still work to be done, it was ap icture perfect performance for me, I agree with Froch, 9/10
I wouldnt go as far as that, but Hughes was overmatched and Frampton doesn't look anywhere near as good as he did agaunst Szabo or Reid.....He seemed ponderous, sitting off and against a man with no power that just seems strange. Good finish though.
jesus christ ****ing ref let that Cadman lad take too many punches there, looked scared to get in Reids way
don't agree, the ref reacted as quick as possible. now if that had been Joe Cortez then Cadman would have been in serious bother.
