Interesting to note that Vitali Klitschko fans regard Lennox Lewis's Mother as aleading authority on boxing :D

Because he knew he was passed it, he underestimated his mandatory opponant...and nearly paid for it...he was behind on all the cards...so he went to war...and won...nothing left to prove...it's called quiting while your ahead...Roy should have done this

he had nothing left to prove, and he is very intelligent like the brothers

knows when to get out and left on top unlike many greats

only thing i didnt like is how he gave vitali the run around said figeht kirk johnsons and i fight you after

vitali does his thing vs kirk and then lewis calls it a career

Except this is not what happened:

"Lennox Lewis, rested from a bloody, six-round brawl with Vitali Klitschko two weeks ago, is ready to do it again. The heavyweight champion said Wednesday he prefers to give Klitschko a rematch instead of facing Roy Jones Jr., his other high-profile option. HBO PPV is holding Dec. 6 for Lewis' next bout."

yeah but at the same time, you're concerned about a fight from how many years ago? against a lennox lewis people unanimously agree was done? nobody dwells on tommy hearns' loss to leonard, because he's done other things that outshine a loss he took in a good scrap. the fact that you're dwelling on this, IF ANYTHING, shows a lack of legacy on vitali's part.

I'm not being shitty, but you really need to move on from this.Every week, threads with either a)a poorly disguised agenda with a dash of poor sarcasm,or b)like this,a terribly bitter rant about something the rest of the world has moved on from.
Vitali has achieved a great deal,he has beaten almost everyone in an era of poor heavyweights. It's not his fault the level of opposition means there will always be questions asked.I'm sure he'd have the heart to fight anyone in any era.Lennox did what far too many great fighters don't.He got out at exactly the right time.I'm sure if he thought Vitali would still hold a belt this much later,he'd have had one more fight with him.He probably thought the manner of victory wouldn't have much of an effect on his legacy.
    And he was right.
Enjoy what your hero has achieved, all these threads so long after just suggest real bitterness and heartache.
It really isn't that important. It's like someone starting a thread every week saying "Lennox was definitely going to stop him in the 8th or 9th or 12th etc"
It could well be true, but we'll never know.

I honestly think Vitali would have had a better career if he had stuck with the acting, you know.

I mean, look what John Travolta went on to do after he left 'Welcome Back Kotter'.

This is where your post went wrong.

Yes Lewis did avoid the Vitali rematch, but he was past it and had beaten him so, I have no problem with it.

    1. Edwin Valero had a %100 KO Ratio
    2. Against Chris Byrd he lost 4 rounds on 2 of the judges score cards
    3. Was KO'd vs Pele Reid during his kickboxing career, not knocked down, but fully KO'd
    4. Lost to Byrd and Lewis, both LEGIT ****ING LOSES YOU MORON.
