i think foreman would start out the fight using his jab and straight bombs but tyson would slip these shots and punish george with hooks

Fighters who were generally shorter, lowered their center of gravity and fought in what was more or less a crouching position, typically got killed by Foreman. That's not to say that Tyson didn't have some differences to some of these men and ones that may have troubled Foreman, but I think George has a stylistic advantage. Mike would have to eat a lot leather in order to land leather.

 

Mike's going to land more. Whether that means he wins or not is hard to say, but if forced to put money on it, I'd back Tyson. Doubt it goes past 6 rounds either way.

 

It's gonna take more than single shots and pushing to defeat Tyson. I think Tyson tags Foreman repeatedly in this one. Tyson KO 5 Foreman.

 

2 power punching head cases going at it in what would be a barn burner for sure. This could go either way but I'll lean toward the bigger head case. If it's the version of Foreman that blasted Frazier in "73 then George wins. Tyson will land his share and his head movement will make George miss his fair share but sooner or later George lands the uppercut/hook that puts the seed of doubt in Mikes mind. I see the ref stopping it in 3 or 4 rounds with Mike out on his feet and the crowd up on it's feet.

 

I think Tyson would really have to pull out all the stops and utilize his entire range of skills to overcome the stylistic advantages someone of Foreman's power and ability has. Tyson could land 6-to-1 and still get the worst of an exchange. Although I do think envisioning Foreman-Frazier all over again and calling it a wrap is to underestimate Tyson's greater speed of hand and foot, power and (for my money) underrated counterpunching ability.

 

Foreman by a fairly early KO. Terrible style matchup for Tyson, then add Foreman's chin to the equation and maybe most important, Foreman's natural toughness.

Tyson would be quicker than Foreman and that would be his only advantage.

 

I agree that Mike needs to be up to task and be at his absolute best. I think Foreman needs to tie Tyson up on the inside and befuddle him. Foreman doesn't do that. It might be a free swinging affair, and if that's the case I see Tyson's better defense and offensive accuracy being the factor. Foreman can and will land those uppercuts on the inside but only one at a time. This will make Mike think twice about coming forward, but I can see Mike countering those wild swinging uppercuts and cracking Foreman, almost at will. Tyson will land often and early.

 

As mentioned earlier, theres 2 scenarios here.

a) Foreman 'Fraziers' Tyson.
b) No way a peak Tyson is caught by all those looping windmill punches. Tyson had one of the best defences ever at HW.
Tyson has a field day with the slower Foreman. And beats him from pillar to post. To beat Tyson u need to use angles. Foreman would be just a punchbag, you dont stand in front of Tyson....then again, you dont stand in front of Foreman either?
