Anybody else kicking it with the Hyland PPV from Atlantic City? Eddie about to enter the fray and think I'll pour myself a drink and sit back.
Eddie Hyland lost UD4 to Franklin Gonzalez. 39-37 twice and 40-36. Dunno about that! Slow fight but felt Eddie shaded middle two rounds to earn a draw at least.
Paulie Hyland makes up for Eddie's defeat with UD win - scores 58-56 twice and 59-55. They'll be relieved!
FFS fra...sometimes you can get on like a real dumbass. Good performance from wee Carl. roll on Paddy's day in the gardens
Anyone on here going to The Garden for the Paddy's Day show. I see Eddie Hearn was saying last night that Frampton is on that card now. Frampton v Big Bang would be ideal for that card.
Not without any incentive it wouldn't Two of them in Ireland for euro strap later in the year would be my preference
It's hard to be critical of Framptons performance after last nights showing, but I'm measuring him by the highest of standards, when I say I would like to see him learn to fight at a higher pace [Carl said he can in the interview afterwards, so I hope that's the case], because at the very highest level he won't have the time or space to punch-pick the way he does at this level. I know I'm nit-picking, on what was a wonderful, classy and hard hitting display, but sure that's what forums are for. At this stage, no matter what the so-called experts on Sky are saying [Ringside], Frampton will have too much for Quigg in every department aside from Quigg being naturally bigger that is. I had to chuckle at Joe Gallaghers ludicrous comments to Barry and Carl about living on the back of Guiggs success, the very same Gallagher who was spitting venom over Ricky Hatton proclaiming Guigg to be something special and leaving out Joe Murray in the praise stakes [this was all before Quigg joined the Gallagher stable:yep]. No harm to Gallagher but he came across as a real buffoon on Ringside, but I think he's heard the gym stories and doesn't want anything to do with Carl, but at some stage they're going to have to take up the Frampton challenge or they will lose face. I thought Carl done well last night a nice KO. Would love to see him fight a Mexican over in the US on Paddys day put him in there with someone who can bang a bit and see how he gets on if he gets tagged. Or if that isnt a option a fight with Paulie Hyland for the Irish title on the card. A Irish title fight on Paddys night wouldnt be a bad fight either.
I know what you are saying but let's face it there are not too many opportunities out there at the minute. We have the upcoming McCloskey show and this Di Bella one, but outside of that we are looking a couple of small hall shows. Casey would get the opportunity to fight at the Garden - which is a dream in itself. I think it is the ideal fight for Frampton next, as Casey is a pressure fighter and it would be a good fight before his eventual match up with Quigg. I had a look at flights for the Paddys Day card. £385 with KLM leaving Dublin on Wednesday 14th, returning Sunday 18th. Tempting.:think
