Classy stuff, I like Joe and didn't mind his posts on here but i didn't like his interview the other day.

Quigg's not done a great deal himself to have Joe talking like this is Zelenoff calling out Wlad . Seriously Joe needs to stop being protective of certain fights..

Barry sure seems convinced his fighter will win,he knows his stuff so I tend to believe what he is saying.Should be a good fight if they can make it happen.

That's why I'm reluctant to bet against Frampton at this level. Barry knows his ****. I don't think Frampton is all that good from what I see but Barry sees him day-in-day-out and still sings his praises highly so there has to be something there.

I wonder what the odds would be for a Quigg fight.

And that's nothing to do with him being financially and emotionally invested in him?

Good interview from McGuigan. He is certainly putting all his marbles on Frampton being the goods. As for Frampton, I like his poise in the ring, he reminds me a little bit of Tyszu with his left jab and overhand rights thats he throws straight down the pipe. Quigg though for me looks to be the better natural talent, and my money as it stands would be on him to take the win. I'm not sure what the hurry is though for them to meet after all Carl has only had 12 fights. I would like to see Lets see Quigg-Monroe and Frampton-Booth or a similar level fighter - either way I would like to see both kids well paid for the eventual fight so why not build it up?.
The banter between McGuigan and Gallagher is already heating things up nicely and I would expect Ricky to start wading into the argument soon aswell.

Quigg does NOT beat Frampton, Frampton has way way more talent and natural ability.

Frampton's amateur experience will be key in this fight.

Just out of curiosity, was the Quigg-Frampton consensus weighted so firmly in Carl's favour say the day after Quigg-Booth or does the pendulum swing each time one fights?

    It was 50/50.

Has the pendulum swung though? Opinion still seems to be split to me.

Barry is one of, if not the most straight talking and level headed pundits there is on tv here. I believe him, and although Quigg is excellent, I fancy Carl's chances to get the KO late on. It'll be a brilliant fight when it happens.

I know both, both are good guys passionate about their fighters. And thats it really..... As for the fight, I definately feel Frampton is the more versatile I think it would be a tremendous fight. I think it should be done now as opposed to when one of them eventually puts in a crap performance or loses and the fight loses interest.

In this day and age there is no point building fights up. Anyone who is going to watch the fight, will watch it now.
