Rather than assume he is underrated by a lot of people, you could assume he's over rated by you.

I look forward to your video showing Langford demonstrating these assets "time and again against far better opposition".

Should be a treat, i've seen very little of him.

What's that got to do with my comments???

    You said, and i quote,

Well lets see them. Chris put forth an all time great video showing Rocky's underrated skills. I'm looking forward to these (hopefully captioned and explained, but certainly captured) skills of Langford.

Can't wait to compare their skills in some sort of comparable footage.

    Cheers.

And I'm waiting for your menstrual cycle to pass so you can stop being a woman and offer a direct response to the question. Maybe I'll start by asking u if Rocky was as great as Coetzee ?

    Cheers.

    * None of these big young strong men were able to win the heavyweight title during Marciano's reign

I think Rocky does get his dues.

He is generaly rated verry highly based on resume, including by posters who then to favour bigger more modern fighters.

The only sense in which he gets under rated is head to head.

So, your retort is Nino Valdez, Hurricane Jackson and Bob Baker.

You only prove my point to the paucity of the division in those years.

He's not underrated when people discuss his chances against someone his own size.

    Absolutely not.

The only area of dispute is how he would fare against larger fighters.

If your resume stands scrutiny, then you are generaly treated fairly here.

as a sidenote, it's interesting how there are times that the "he fought the best in his era" argument is used selectively.

Are you ****ing simple?, Marciano would lose to jokes like Sam Peter and Areola?, I'm sorry but that's just a dumb statement. Rocky put a 220 pound, 6'4 inch superheavy into a coma with 1 blow. Despite what you may think size isn't everything.

The Rock gets his due now...he fought everyone put in front of him...49-0 43 KO's...that's all you can do...champ from 1952-1956...best conditioned fighter ever...heart...stamina...
.power...chin...a kill or be killed attitude...high work rate...high tolerance for pain...just kept on coming...should never have been champ...short...squat...balding..awkward...short arms..
...thick legs...but the great trainer Charlie Goldman worked with him...and Marciano became a force of nature...my favorite fighter...
