Now I know this is jumping the gun by a very long way but, let's say he performs well at the Olympics and the whole nation gets behind him, which I'm willing to bet it will and I'm talking bigger than the khan hype in the eyes of the casuals. Most of the easy promotion will have already been done so, who would be the best promoter for him to sign with. I think this will bring out some different opinions.
I'd say Matchroom, purely because they seem to be close with there fighters seem to have a vision of what they want for fighters. They also have a TV contract that looks settled and not in danger. It's vibrant and up and coming promotions which i think Anthony could develop in. In saying that, he ain't half raw the kid! he got some nice parts of his work but he looks so crude at time. He got a lot to work on but looks a promising fighter.
I would say he should sign to Booth or somebody of that ilk who is a top end manager. If he fulfills his potential he will become a massive draw and all promoters will want to work with him. As a free agent he will have the freedom to choose the best offers fight by fight with help from an experienced manager to guide his career properly.
Eddie Hearns. If he does well in the Olympics then BN is small time and he needs more exposure. Sky would market him as a possible new heavyweight champ. It'll also be interesting to see where Price, Fury and Chisora are after the Olymics.
:rofl no one in their right mind will ever sign with that c*nt again, he has ****ed too many boxers off.
I actually agree with this. I think the most important thing for him is to hook up with a good trainer, but if he's willing to work on the raw things that are there then he'd be a good addition to the pro ranks. Just speculation at this stage, obviously. But if he takes it seriously and is willing to put his all in, he's got the talent to do something in the pro game. And if he has a good Olympics then why not look to fight on terrestrial TV from the get go and build up his name? Without knocking on him, David Price was a good amateur for GB and is considered a good prospect on these shores. He's not as well known by the average punter due to him fighting on Sky TV rather than a platform that's more widely/easily available to everyone.
Lets say he gets as famous as Harrison in 2000. He would of heeded those mistakes and gone with a promoter which would give him a platform. Either Mick or Eddie for me.
I would say Frank has a decent chance, I saw Joshua at the Groves Vs Smith card, he had a couple of minders with him, like he was there as a guest rather than just a fan
