    How many lineal welterweight champions have beaten a lineal light heavyweight champion at any stage of the latters career?

    Joe Walcott, Mickey Walker, Tommy Hearns.

    Beating the reigning LHW champion would have been a big deal!

    It would have been, but not because of linearity, because of the significance of the achievement.

    It would have been even better had he defended against moore and retired.

    Angott, gavilan, la motta, moore. Beating greats in 4 divisions would be some achievement.

    It's hard to hold Maxim loss or Moore fight not happening against former welter Robinson though.
