IMO an unbeaten Foreman stops Tyson. He's pushing Tyson clean backwards from his favoured midrange and raking him. Then it repeats.

Tyson probably beats Foreman anytime after the Ali fight IMO. Maybe first career Foreman post Ali could maneuver him around but i doubt it. The aura of invincibility in his own mind was gawn.

I actually find it amusing that so many people pick Foreman over Tyson with such conviction.

Brute strength and power are not prerequisites to beating Mike Tyson. In some ways they are actually irrelevant. The key to beating Mike Tyson is you need to out maneuver him. You need to keep him from landing, and I don't think someone with a style as deliberate as Foreman will have the capability of doing that. Mike Tyson will always remain in a fight as long as he's able to land.

People seem to be focusing on what Foreman will do to Tyson, dangerously ignoring what Tyson himself is capable of doing. I can't see Foreman beating Tyson to the punch as consistently as Douglas. I don't see him countering as effectively as Holyfield did nor I can see him fight as disciplined as Lewis did.

What I can see is this; Foreman will have his moments in what ends up being a decisive Tyson TKO win.

The very best Tyson (the one being talked about here) is too good for any version of big George. He would be under neath every crude swing doubling up his short, rapid jab and left hooking the **** out of Foremans ribs and head. If he ****ed up his timing (which was rare at his best) and ducked into a punch or 2 he is nowhere near the weak willed, chinless ontop fighter that people make out on here. Tyson would stop him im sure.

Can anyone NOT see a scenario where Foreman pushes Tyson at his shoulders to establish punching room ? And then Foreman lands one of his uppercuts ? Young Foreman was mean, and he could really take it to punchers, who had the audacity to try and stand up to him.Walking into Foreman(tysons speed not withstanding) is suicide. Heavy sharp jab, booming right cross. You just have to think that one of these shots breaks through, and when Foreman had a man hurt...Tyson ahd a good chin, better than Foreman`s ? Doubt it, about equal. I just think this is a bad stylistic and physical matchup for Tyson... Foreman, early KO...He won`t have to beat Tyson to the punch consistently, like a boxer would. Several shots from Big Geoarge will do the trick...

I know this is the consensus view, mostly inlight of a fat joe frazier walking into Foreman, but I respectfully disagree. Foremans jab is dog**** and never thrown with consistency. The speed that tyson moved into position, always under the cover of his short, rapid and accurate jab make me find it hard to envision Foreman being able to push him back with the sort of consistancy needed to find his range.

Foreman by brutal KO after a few fantastic rounds

Foreman knows how to get up and win - Tyson only knows how to get up and lose.

Prime Tyson was to fast, to powerfull for Big George. His defense was also much better then Foreman´s.

I would say Tyson kill Foreman inside 5 Rounds.

I'd bet big on a Foreman win. Big George's granite chin combined with Tyson's stamina = mid-late round KO by Foreman

    XPERT post m8. :thumbsup

Foreman did PROVE he is INVINCIBLE in a SLUGFEST in his WAR with Ronny Lyle.

Tyson DOES not stand a Snowball's chance in Hell, cos he can not get up And win VS adversity like George.

When 2 Big-Bangers trade HAYMAKERS, both will go down at any time , And teh man who has teh balls to get up And win takes it. :deal

    Foreman Hooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooook!:smoke

Tyson when stunned seeks to clinch, bore in from middle range, clinch and reset. I don't think this does well with Foreman. Once tagged with an uppercut, I think Foreman simply does not allow Tyson to clinch, shoving and sweeping in those uppercuts.

Foreman when hurt could at least push Mike off-balance (good example of this is his fight with Gerry Cooney). I think Foreman's chin is better, but not by much. Tyson's best bet are his fast body-to-head combinations, he might be able to put George down with those. He could also effectively evade Foreman's jab.

Foreman inside five rounds in a competitive slugfest. Tyson is in with a shout, but a 3-1 dog imo. George is pretty fearsome when you fight him going forward.

Just how I see it,Hook :good

It would be a slugfest for a few rounds, but once Tyson sees that Foreman's not going anywhere,he gets discouraged, and leaves himself open to George's haymakers.

Foreman by tko within five rounds.

    That is just intellectually lazy.

Considering that Tyson up until 1988 had gone the distance more frequently than Foreman did in 1973 it sounds ridiculous to suggest that Tyson would get discourage and all of a sudden have a lapses in his defense just because Foreman hasn't gone down.

If it's slugfest, history has shown that he guy with quicker hands has the advantage. Foreman can be dropped early, Tyson has never been dropped early by singular shots.

Everything about this match up gives the edge to Tyson but Foreman's win over Frazier seems to cloud people's judgement.
