derry matthews might have allot of heart but he has to have some of the worst kind of punch resistance iv seen, my mate who watched the fight was telling me he faced looked a mess and he was hurt numerous times by some euro dude in his last fïght, he should have retired after the lawton fight.
Championship fighters should never be in less than 10 rounders. Once they get used to that distance, if anything goes wrong then they don't have the time to turn things around like they are used to. 10 rounds is a good distance and should be adopted more so guys fight a faster, harder fight.
Derry doesn't deserve the fight really, but ill give him credit if he gets this chance. Derry should retire now. I think he will struggle with his nose in any fight now. Maybe its one last payday before he bows out as Derry has a decent following and will sell his batch of the tickets no matter what.
