    Martinez is massively overrated, that being said if Floyd fights him at 160lbs I will still be very impressed, if he fights him at 150lbs then who cares.

    he was never gonna fight him , especially after the williams fight....
    much like he was never gonna fight pac after pac destroyed hatton

    Obviously your entitled to your opinion, but I disagree that Martinez is overrated. The guy is immense, with only 1 definitive loss against Margarito which was what, 12 years ago?

    He has a solid, solid resume. 1st loss to Williams was damn close, and when you consider how short notice he came in on, had he been the orginally signed opponent I reckon he'd have got the decision. People were very split between him and Dzin yet he absolutely annihilated him. Barker is a future World MW Champion and his victory over him will be held in much higher regard when he gets a belt.

    I have no doubt that Martinez is rightfully the p4p no.3 and at 154+ (in hindsight of the Marquez fight), I think he poses a greater threat to Floyd than Pac.

    Mayweather should fight Pacquiao or go to prison. Martinez isn't a household name, there's no public interest, and even though it's a good fight for boxing fans it doesn't have the appeal or drama of a Pacquiao fight. Floyd should serve his time in jail for hitting his woman and then think about getting himself back into marquee fights. :rasta

    How the hell is this thread still alive??

    and poor Martinez... Margarito gets beat down by Cotto and is no longer an option, Cotto fights Floyd taking away 2 money options, Pac will not fight above 147. I kinda feel sorry for the guy :lol:
