Spinks could win some of the early rounds. However as the fight progresed the skill diffrance would become aparant. Spinks also lacks the power to keep Mayweather away from him. Spinks has ko losses to Judah and Bundrage, neather of them are power punchers. If it goes all 12 rounds 8 or 9 of them will go to Mayweather. A ko win for Mayweather is not impossiple.
No, I'm thinking that this can't be a serious thread, but YOU apparently took the bait. And if anything, my sarcasm is something you "don't appear to know".
Please don't even mention that in a serious discussion about this match-up. The Spinks that lost to K9 was 5x more far gone than the DLH that PBF beat.
Spinks woulds get chased down the ring and his glassed jaw gets cracked early, he simply doesn't have the power to make Mayweather respect him, and Floyd would walk him down, being unusually more aggressive cause of that
Floyd doesn't have the power to take Spinks out and he doesn't have the temperment to stand in the pocket and load up on Spinks. Also remember Spinks was no joke defensively himself, and could use his flurrying to steal close rounds for Floyd as he sat back and waited for a shot to counter or just covered up. It would be very "boring" chess match if we are talking prime for prime at 147.
I have said this all along. Cory would be a very tough fight. Cory gives you nothing EDIT: since when was floyd a brutal puncher? Taylor couldn't catch him nevermind hurt him floyd definitely wouldn't.
Okay, I remember Spinks small reign at WW. He lost for the IBF to Piccirillo and then beat him in the rematch. His best wins at WW were against Mayorga, Gonzalez, and Zab. Why would he beat PBF agian?
Even though Judah's not new to such antics still he was over-matched at that stage of his career. Khan simply dominated him, didn't give him a chance to do anything.
Everytime Mayweather had trouble in a fight, (Castillo, Judah, Hoya) it was all due to the opponent focusing on defense first. Spinks is a defensive fighter so he would def cause problem for Mayweather with defense and counter punching. But Maywweather will figure him out and be aggressive enough to sway the judges that he was the effective aggressor.
