Floyd vs Cotto would have been a NO credit win.

It's fair to say whoever Mayweather fights and beats he would get no credit for it. Please remember, people only tune-in to see him lose. Hell, even if he fought and beat Martinez there will be excuses.

IMO Floyd should get 100% credit for beating Canelo @ 154. Canelo @ 154, polished or not is a dangerous fight for anybody in that division.

Sure, and I agree. Just saying that had he opted to face Cotto, he should have received credit for beating him, had that occurred. :deal

he has 4 fights in 4 years. so if he picks a **** poor opponent that has no chance to win like JMM or Victor Ortiz , you then have to wait another 12 months and hope the next guy isnt an 8-1 under dog.
(**** poor as in choice of opponents not **** poor as individual fighters)

    W Jose Cotto
    W Carlos Baldomir
    W Lovemore Ndou
    W Matthew Hatton
    W Ryan Rhodes
    W Alfonso Gomez
    W Kermit Cintron

At least he has a whole boat load of experience at the weight.

I'll say the Cintron win is straight up better than the Mayorga win. Less than six months prior to their fight, Cintron was ranked #2 at 154. So, yeah, a lot better than the Mayorga OR the Margarito win.

Rhodes was ranked #4 at 154 by The Ring, maybe a little high but without question a top 10 guy. That win is equal to or a tiny bit lesser than the Yuri Foreman win.

Is this really a joke guys? Seriously, respond to this. You try comparing their junior middleweight resumes and show me how Cotto's is better.

Floyd can't help it that no matter who he faces, they will be an 8:1 dog anyway.

Cotto is the next best fight for Floyd after Manny.

After Manny, there is no other fight out there for Floyd that is not Miguel.

Manny beat Cotto, his critics would say Floyd was picking up Pacs scraps

Canelo is young exciting unbeaten popular and quick skilled and powerful

i admit this fight would be better in another yr or 2 and that jumping from fighting someone like Cintron to all the way up to Mayweather is a big jump but its a huge opportunity
