And ESPN America? I only noticed it after subscribing to ESPN. Good Job on looking up the sky packages though! :good
I rang up Sky the other week to try and get a 50% discount like I do every 6 months, the guy on the phone told me about all these channels I had that I didn't know about. Apparently they moved around the structure of the channels in September and it works out alot better for me. :good EDIT: You just get ESPN Classic, not America sadly.
Who broadcast the Berto-Zaveck fight last time? I cant seem to remember if it was on Sky, BN, Primetime or not at all. Either way i cant believe nobodys jumped all over the Ortiz-Berto rematch just yet, admittedly theres still 2 weeks to go, but i'd say theres an awful alot of interest in this fight. Sky shot themselves in the foot by not showing the 1st one but showing all of Berto's other fights prior to it, surely they cant make the same mistake again.
Dunno if this has been posted yet, thought i'd post it anyways.. “Queensbury Eurosport Bound” Former English Welterweight champion Ross Minter and promotional partner Alan Foley have confirmed that they have secured an exciting broadcast deal with Eurosport for their promotions company the Queensbury Boxing League which will see their first event on the channel air on Friday February 3rd at 10:30pm during the channels primetime viewing slot. The promotional duo who launched the league back in 2010 with the aim of creating a fresh and exciting new boxing platform for British boxers to compete on have seen a rapid growth in the popularity of the league with boxers from all over the country signing up to compete within its ranks, and with Eurosport now showcasing a number of the league’s larger events in their 2012 season the shows are guaranteed to reach a much wider audience during the next twelve month’s. “ This is a fantastic achievement for the show and is testament to all of the hard work that’s been put in to making this league one of the most exciting stages for boxing in the country,” commented Minter. “ When we set out to create this league we wanted to build a third legitimate boxing code in the UK that would bridge the gap between the amateur and professional ranks and develop a league system to give the boxers competing in it something to aim for. There is still a long way to go and further improvements to make but I really believe the league is a huge positive for the sport and the coverage Eurosport will offer is going to expose the shows to a whole new audience and hopefully get more people watching boxing again”
