Rashad is back. Where do you rank him in the light heavyweight division?

    What logic would that be? If Evans has one of the worst chins in MMA, why does he only have one KO loss? And why did said KO come only after he'd taken a serious beating for the better part of two rounds from one of he best strikers in the sport? I don't think that Rashad has anything for Jones, but you guys who keep talking about him like he's some kind of bum are way off base.

    I actually think Rashad has as good a chance against Jones as anyone does.

    He's well-rounded and experienced.

    He knows Jones better than anyone else.

    And most importantly, I don't think he fears Jones like the others now do. He's much more familiar with him. Jones' mystique won't be so overwhelming for Rashad, because he remembers Jones when he wasn't this unstoppable beatdown machine, when Jones was looking to him to learn things, asking him questions about what it takes to succeed as a top-level fighter. Rashad is used to being the alpha fighter when he's grappling with Jones.

    I don't think any of that will help him win, but I think he'll enter the cage with less nervousness than most guys who fight Jones.

    There's not a lot of separation between the top challengers, but I don't see any huge reason Rashad shouldn't be the Jones' #1 contender. Rashad is 4-0 since losing the title in his lone professional defeat, and dominated his opponent for practically 90% of that time. I realize Davis looked inexperienced, but he was coming off wins over Nogueira and Gustafsson. Rashad deserves some credit for shutting out his previously undefeated opponent.

    Machida has the win head to head, but is 1-3 in his last 4 bouts.

    Shogun has the best resume by far, but is 2-2 in his last 4.

    Henderson is the only fighter I can see an argument for as more deserving of a title shot.

    I agree though Rashad deserves his title shot...But once he loses to jones this is how the rankings should be..

    Hendo comes back to UFC as Strikeforce light heavy champ and beats former UFC champ in his first fight back....Definately equals title shot to me....Next inline after rashad.surely.
