    I feel your pain.I went through this with Cotto-Margarito,but thankfully that fight came off at MSG.:good

    Well since Ortiz isn't hurt can't he still fight??? Like somebody else? I don't care who he fights, I just wanna see him!!

    I'm sure Berto was lifting weights like a maniac and then decided to do some sparring right after. Oh well, I wasn't to crazy about this one.

    If Ortiz was a lower level fighter and the purse for the fight wasn't so high... They would probably just get a stay-busy, soft-touch opponent to replace Berto. But because him and Berto are supposedly at the elite level makin big $$ to fight eachother, they would need to find an equally elite opponent for Ortiz to justify the purse. Elite guys like that won't typically take fights on 2-weeks notice unless there is some kind of miracle.

    And on that note, if they can't save the main event and there is no major attraction on the undercard, the entire event will most likely be canceled. (But don't take it from me, this is just conjecture. Wait for the official announcement to cancel your trip.)

    Its a bummer but this **** sometimes happens in boxing.

    this reminds me of the last time berthoe bitched out from fighting shane mosley, he used his second cousins pet dying in a tornado or whatever as an excuse then was hitting the clubs the very next week.

    berthoe doesn't wanna get his ass beat again.

    This is terrible! My friend told me not to ever get tickets to a live fight because stuff like this always happens. I think he was right. And now I'm reading from some of you guys that maybe Berto did it on purpose so he can fight Floyd instead??? OMG if that happens I will NEVER watch boxing again!

    It's one thing when the fight gets cancel and I just got a ppv or house party or something like before. But between me and my friends we spent like $5000 for the plane tickets and boxing tickets and cirque tickets and deposits for my birthday party at the club and caterers and everything else. I don't think we can get that money back. And now I'm worried that it's all because Berto can make more money fighting Floyd like some guys here are saying!!!!
