    Chris Eubank

    Nigel Benn

    Joe Calzaghe

    And why?

Calzaghe. While I greatly admire Eubank and Benn they were not as dominant as Calzaghe and Calzaghe held all 4 major titles at one point or another and would have been unified champion had he not been stripped of the IBF belt.

I'd have to go with Eubank for overcoming adversity.

Calzaghe was the heavy favorite for all of his fights apart from Lacy, who offered no resistance. Joe never overcame much adversity.

Eubank was a heavy underdog against Logan and Benn and was losing every round against Watson in their rematch, and these fights were WARS like you don't see today, and he won each one.

Benn shocked the world against Barkley and McClellan, won his world titles abroad against the odds and defended them against Eubank - putting everything into every punch in their first fight and not taking one backward step in their second fight. He was ****ing great! Greater than Calzaghe!

But Eubank for the three wins over Watson and Benn, dominant win over G.Rocchigiani (robbed against Maske and Michalczewski) and robbery loss to Steve Collins (unlucky against R.Johnson and Kalambay) a year later - both overseas lions dens, and taking the Calzaghe fight on 11 days notice when Steve Collins chickened out of fighting Calzaghe; before moving up two weight divisions and KDing a 210lb ripped warrior twice in their first fight and lifting a 210lb ripped warrior clean off his feet with an uppercut in their second fight - winning the first six rounds of both fights before his eye completely closed both times (initiated from a thumb in first fight)... gets my vote. He was also the most active world champion since Joe Louis.

    Eubank.

    Eubank > Benn > Calzaghe

I wonder if Joe is pissed that he has a 46-and0 record and probably still doesnt get the recognition he feels he deserves

Even people he beat are better than him :think

I admire Calzaghe's quick combos and brawling style, but he had it all handed on a plate in his career - what exactly was he earning millions for pre-Lacy when he couldn't sell 1,000 tickets or draw 100,000 viewers and was fighting the worst world title challengers in history once or twice a year..... Disgraceful. Sorry but it is!

Remember that fight was also 11 days notice for Calzaghe also, Eubank was training for a LHW fight on the same night and that Boxing News amongst many others felt Eubank was favourite to beat Calzaghe

They have all had outstanding careers and done well. All have underated resumes.
I would say Calzaghe - Eubank - Benn
Calzaghe won all of the belts in his main fighting weight and was recognised as universal champ in 2 weight divisions.
Eubank has a fantastic SMW resume also, and wins over undefeated former IBF champ Rocchigiani was very impressive, as well as the Benn draw, plus other good wins in Holmes, Wharton etc
Benn has also done well and would get more credit for the name recognition on his resume with Barkley and McClellan

For me Calzaghe is the better fighter and most skilled Boxer of the 3 but like mentioned above he didn't really fight any great fighters in their primes. He also lacked a career defining fight, he did ruin a favored Lacy but Lacy will not go down in the history books as anything more than a hyped American champion.

I would pick Eubank overall as the greatest, his record speaks for itself.

I think what calzaghe acheived probably put him ahead of the others, although eubank and benn were monsters in their primes

    I love Benn and Eubank.
Their fights got me into watching boxing. It was free on BBC and they were wars!
But Calzaghe is the better fighter.

Eubank & Benn get notoriety cause they were bigger household names, however both get overrated for that reason IMO. Dont get me wrong they were excellent fighters, but when people put them in the argument with Hopkins, Jones, Toney I just smile. Those 3 fighters were elite level fighters, Eubank & Benn were excellent fighters, very good Champions, but the were more B+ class than A+(elite). I dont think Joe was as good as those guys(Hopkins, Jones, Toney ), but Joe was at-least an A- type fighter imo.

If there were one belt per division Calzaghe would have a better shot at winning the title cause he's more versatile. He's more adaptable.
