Presumably a typo. I doubt the local journo knows the difference between international contest and title. I might get it sanctioned for the Victorian title instead.

I did hear that the 'International Sexy Boxing Title Belt' is on the line. Maybe that was the typo.

No just the MDM camp trying to pull the woll over punters eyes again, i doubt they would have let the proof of the pic go to the printers before being edited if need be

It's probably high time you informed 'organiser Anthony Coleiro' there's no title on the line. He's plainly the one that keeps telling the paper there is, and as they have no secondary source of reference they go ahead and blindly print it :patsch

How about you're not even close to the mark... I reckon the Gladstone Observers' website hasn't had this many hits in a while...

Perhaps you can explain it then????????

This is the logical explanation >>>

When newspapers have only one source of information available to them they print what they are provided with. In this particular case what 'organiser Anthony Coleiro' is plying them with. They usually also have the provider of the information check what they are going to print for inaccuracies before they run it.

How do I know this? I've submitted articles and that's what happened each time.

You don't find it just a tad uncanny that 'convenient' inaccuracies keep appearing in each article :patsch

How many provincial newspapers have you ever read? They're full of mistakes. If a journalist only has one source, find another, if needs be.

No title has EVER been given the go ahead for DeMori vs Calloway. The Qld Heavyweight title is the main support. Hope you can sleep tonight, knowing this.

If the newspaper had have been provided with accurate information in the first place they wouldn't have needed a secondary source. In this particular case where would you have suggested they go anyway :think

"MARK 'The Dominator' Demori....is scheduled to fight for the IBF Intercontinental World Title Championships".

"In total there will be 8 headlining fights with three titles up for contest. The, WBU Cruiserweight Australasian and the WBU Middle Weight Australasian Titles."

The Gladstone Observer wouldn't know what the IBF and WBU are. Where else would they have come up with this information other than from 'organiser Anthony Coleiro' on behalf of team DeMori :patsch

"Demori will challenge Damon Reed who has a history of 46 wins (32 KO) and 5 losses".

Where else other than from 'organiser Anthony Coleiro' on behalf of team DeMori would this information have come from? Sadly, the Gladstone Observer wouldn't know what boxrec is, and if they did, and they'd used it, they would have found the correct information regarding the number of losses Reed had suffered. Not the 'convenient mistake' they were provided with :patsch

Type his name into google and boxrec pops up.

I bet 5 losses doesn't come up against Damon Reed's name :patsch

Perhaps you'd care to explain where the Gladstone Observer got their 'conveniently' incorrect information regarding the supposed plethora of titles on offer, including one for the 40 year old organiser making his debut, and the falsified career record of Damon Reed; if it wasn't from 'organiser Anthony Coleiro'???

Damon's record is there for the world to see. Type it into google, it's not exactly splitting the atom. Falsified his record, you're having a laugh. Perhaps at one point the promoter thought the titles were a good idea until someone pointed him in the right direction. Any luck finding prospective opponents for future bouts?
