The thing About pacquiao is that he is very exciting to watch, likes to fight and paying to watch him is worth the money.
The obvious answer is Pac for he thread title, Pac is more popular than PBF. However, the Op goes on to ask; "who attracts more Media" than it is not as clear cut. PBF 2 piece combo was probably the biggest cross over story in boxing in over a decade, also his court cases . . . etc. While pac maybe more in the consciousness of the average person, PBF has had more exposure on a certain level. Pac has a fan friendly style that leads to Box-office success, PBF box-office success is based on his ability to Market himself . . . for a fighter that is defensive and does not go for the KO all the time, it is amazing that he has had the success that has had. So if popular means PPV buys it is PBF . . . the PPV numbers should not be close given their styles of fighting
As for the casual boxing fans, they love to watch brawlers and exciting fighter like pacquiao. Everytime I watch boxing videos with my mates, they skip the video once mayweather shows up because for them they find it boring. I respect mayweathers skills and I give him credit but MOST people would rather watch a brawler.
No doubt...Floyd two pieces KFC combo has been the meal to go for now for over a decade. I can't argue with that.
Pac is more popular...easily. And for the poster that talked about media exposure, Manny is hindered greatly by his poor English. He can't answer a question properly and IMHO that's the reason he's not on shows like Jay Leno, Good Morning America, etc...If his English was better, he'd **** on Mayweather's popularity. Even in the US
Pac, duh. Paris Hilton was up at the podium with him post fight after Mosley. But seriously, globally: Pacquiao by a billion miles. In America when I talk to people about sports which is everyday multiple times: Mayweather.
I don't have a twitter and I'm not sure how that works or how active both are on their accounts, so I can't answer your question.
