[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_hKqQ_exiw[/ame] Question is after watching this why Floyd does not make the fight happen.
cuz theres still a chance hed lose and he doesnt take fights where the chances of him winning are not more than about 95%
Fickle or what? Some of these people judging Pacquiao-Mayeather on the Mosley-Marquez fights. If you think Mayweather would win you have to of thought it to begin with because you base it on style, not because of how Manny's looked recently.
atsch everyones big and tough before may takes em on and then they become hype jobs and paper champions because may usually makes it look so easy... If you understood boxing you would give him the credit he deserves
Marquez is relevent because hes fight style is like mayweathers And mosley exposed some flaws in pacquiaos gameplan
He's not relevant because Manny struggled with him last time bout though, cause he's always struggled with Marquez.
If people thought Pacquiao would beat Mayweather and then changed their minds because of the Marquez fight, then I'm not sure what they saw in Manny in the first place. JMM and Mayweather Jr. have very different styles.
Exactly. They're obviously very short sighted to begin with to be overlooking what his strengths are, were his weakness still lie. Even Cotto showed whilst he'd improved, that he could still be troubled when drawn foward and countered as he's coming in. The rematch with Marquez was razor thin to.
His point was, every mayweather fight 140 onwards he has been a heavy favourite. The de la hoya one was the biggest risk but he was still a 3 to 1 favourite and he was well worth the risk as it turned him into a global star.
Stereotypes, just because one is a counter-puncher doesn't mean all those types are the same. Look what a raw Pac did to a master boxer Ledwaba.
guys, these 12 opinions are from guys inside the sport, pro boxers, trainers and promoters. I think they know what they are talking about and know more about boxing than you. calling them "fickle" and "shortsighted" is a bit of stupid thing to say, especially when you were probably saying exactly the same thing just after the pac/jmm 3 fight.
The marquez fight is very relevant as it exposed Pacs style to a very good counter-puncher. Pac was lucky to win that fight but against Floyd, he will be up against a fighter with superior speed and reflexes to Marquez. Unless Pac/Freddie work out how to effectively deal with an elite counter puncher, Pac will unfortunately lose against Floyd... Floyd is one of the very best boxers of our generation and he has the ability to change styles and gameplans during a fight. He has become a master of boxing.
