Khan points, both have weaknesses and strenghts but the biggest difference here would be heart, Khan would never doubt himself, oritz would

This is surely one of the most exciting fights that can be made at the moment. Actually... any fight including Khan is generally exciting. And i am not even a fan

Khan vs. Ortiz, not a bad consolation prize for the Berto injury.

What about Khan's poor defence? It's equally as bad as Ortiz's. And unfortunately for him, both his power and punch resistence is inferior. So logic states Khan would fold way before Ortiz.

And whenever a person moves up in weight, it doesn't automatically mean he'll put on 10-15 pounds of effective weight, you know. Khan fighting up at 147 would be akin to Pacquiao currently fighting there (both are more or less natural LWWs, that weigh in 148-49 on fight night). Khan to begin with will be like Mayweather - going into the early 150s at most.

I think their punch resistance is about even. Ortiz was up and down like a yoyo against Maidana, and knocked out early by Floyd (albeit whilst unguarded), who is a sharp but not concussive puncher. Both guys took Peterson's shots fine, but Ortiz seemed to be more buzzed by them to me.

Khan also has a better heart and is mentally stronger than Ortiz, which can count for a lot in a dog fight. Like I said there is always the chance that Ortiz just walks through him, but he's so inconsistent it's not that cut and dry.

Naaaaaaahhhh Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuudddddeee. Ortiz wasn’t hurt by Peterson at all, whereas Khan was stunned and on the run consistently. And against Maidana, it was the silly gameplan that got Ortiz stopped so early, and the boxing and moving that allowed Khan to survive. Ortiz easily has the better chin. In fact, I’d say he has a pretty good one. He’ll suffer flash knockdowns (not surprising considering the amount of flush power shots he likes to walk into), but he recovers quite well.

But I agree on the heart thing. Although against Khan, he might overcome that when he sees how easily it is to hurt him. He walked through hell against Berto because he noticed Berto was crumbling every time he attacked. I think he'll benefit from the same experience against Khan, too.

With Khan lack of defense on the inside this is a horrible match up for Khan. Ortiz knocks him out in 4. Only Khan fans think he will coast with out getting hit. Ortiz will hit him, hurt him and stop him.

    Nonsense.

Plenty of Khan fans have said he'd lose, and plenty of neutrals say he'd win. It's a mixed bag of opinions.

ortiz might knock khan down a million times but he'll attempt to get up every time while whoretiz will quit when the going gets tough.

i dont think Khan will handle Ortiz's pressure and inside fighting too well

then again if Khan manages to move well uses his reach and hit Ortiz with some big shots he may make Ortiz fold
