i mean back in 08 this was the superfight to be made with many people saying cotto beats him...4 years later both are not as young but you have people giving ortiz a great shot at beating mayweather or even alvarez but cotto is "shot" which is absurd to me...does he stand a great chance?

well everyone has a "chance" but half the people on here gave ortiz a great chance because he was "young and strong"

better at 154 than 147...but he would have to basically fight the perfect fight or perfect liver shot

Slim to fair chance. I just don't see what Cotto could do that would give him the edge. i'd love for it to happen though.

How awesome would it be if cotto was the one who stopped floyd?
Miguel is capable but he needs the perfect shot/fight, that left hook will be the key,

He has a shot maybe 20% chance of beating Floyd.

Cotto is a much more rounded fighter now than he was back in 2008. In the 2000's Cotto struggled with Judah massively he had to hit him low twice to ease pressure. He also struggled with Josh Clottey.

Im a big Cotto fan and i think he looked great against Margarito and Foreman. His style has changed so much and his movement is great to watch. The Floyd fight is the best fight for us to see but if i were Cotto i would go for Chavez Jnr.

Because whilst cotto is a better boxer than Cotto and Alvarez, He's not going to be able to outbox floyd anyway.

Ortiz and alvarez had a chance based on their power, meaning they have a chance of a KO.

Cotto I cant see Ko'ong Floyd, I cant see him roughing out a performance. and out working him.

Floys will just out box him to wide decision.

    No, he never did.

  13. no chance whatsoever. he's not skilled enough to beat floyd by decision and he doesnt have the power to stop him. no chance at all.

I think so personally. Definetly more one punch power than Cotto.

For Cotto the jab will be key, jabs doubled and trebbled followed by combinations to the body and keep a tight defence while fighting at a high tempo
