Herrera over Provdnikov Marciano over Ezzard Charles Lamotta over the French guy where he got a last minute KO to keep the title cant remember the name Bowe vs Golota 2, yes Golota ****ed himself in there but Bowe coulda quit at anytime in there
i like the thread but come on man, hamed won because he was the better fighter, he was knocked down but he was never properly hurt IMO :thumbsup
Everybody (except Douglas) had been scared to death before entering the ring. Holyfield has the heart of a warrior and was not afraid, this had a large impact on the fight as Tyson lost his aura and was disheartended and lacked a plan B What's funny about that Clown boy?
I felt Larry Holmes pulled it out against Carl Williams cause of the heart he showed down the Championship stretch, although I've never actually scored the fight round by round, he might of lost. I think the way he fought saved him from losing though. Definitely Holyfield-Tyson. I thought Tyson wanted to quit after the 6th. Hearns-Leonard would also have to be my other pick. Its not so much Leonard had more heart in that particular fight, even though I think he did as a fighter, but in that particular fight his heart won it for him imo.
I wouldn't say the fighters in some of these examples won because they had more heart. Hagler had a perfect game plan for Hearns, and also took a better shot than Tommy. Hopkins is far more technically skilled and smart than Pascal. Khan is more talented than Maidana. Controversy aside, Taylor had plenty of heart, who knows if he or Chavez "wanted" the win more, but Chavez had the much heavier hands and more precise punching and that took a toll. I think of a case like Bowe-Golota 2. Even though he got the crap beaten out of him, Bowe wanted to win. Golota wanted out. I agree with Cotto-Clottey. Cotto showed more heart than that choking headcase Clottey.
Pacquiao-Sasakul: Pac then a scrappy unheralded 19 year old was sent to his opponent's country to be fed as routine fodder to bolster the Thai champ's record. Round after round of being "schooled" by the Thai, the young Pacquiao purely on will and determination kept coming and coming finally hitting paydirt landing a couple of straight lefts in the latter rounds until finally dropping a bomb in the 8th(?) to wrest away his first and most unexpected lineal championship.
Well yeah actually i do. Hamed had the fear factor and Barrera just got his head down and took it to him. So yeah i think barrera did show good courage in that fight.
